Heroes won’t just be available on your TV set soon, with Ubisoft to make a video game based on the popular sci-fi show. The game will feature all the characters, locations and storylines that us fans love and cherish and could even be out by the end of next year. It will be available on all next-generation formats as well as PC and will be a third-person action extravaganza (okay, so I’m not sure about the ‘extravaganza’ part, but for nerdy geeks in love with cheerleader Claire Bennet, this could be all their dream fantasies fulfilled.) The programme creator, Tim Kring, is working on his sales pitch: “We’re very excited to be making the ‘Heroes’ video game with Ubisoft. Time and again, Ubisoft has proven they can turn licensed properties into fantastic games.”
And it won’t just be the Heroes game keeping all at Ubisoft busy, with a Lost game also in the works. A naughty teaser trailer for Lost: The Video Game will premiere at this week’s San Diego Comic-Con International. The game could be on shelves as early as Spring 2008 and will allow gamers to play a passenger that interacts with the existing characters on the ill-fated flight Oceanic 815. Such techie delights to fog up the spectacles of the most nerdy fans, these games are sure to be huge money-spinners for all involved.
