Amy Childs is to star in reality TV show, The Bachelorette

Amy Childs is to look for a boyfriend in new reality TV show The Bachelorette. The All About Amy star will have 25 hunks to choose from and she will eliminate the guys who don’t impress her on a weekly basis until only one un/lucky man is left. The Channel Five programme is based on the American show of the same name, and follows on from the success of the most recent series of The Bachelor which saw Gavin Henson pick a girl to be his girlfriend.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Amy has been picked to be the temptress because it’s not going to be hard to find 25 blokes who fancy becoming her boyfriend. Who knows she may even settle down with one of them.”

The former The Only Way Is Essex beauty has been single since separating from Frank Lampard lookalike Joe Hurlock in the summer.

The pair parted ways due to Amy’s busy work schedule and their constant bickering.

Speaking about the break-up, she said: “I’m so busy and at one point I just didn’t see Joe so we didn’t have anything in common. It started going downhill after my 21st birthday.”

Meanwhile, the sexy redhead has opened the Amy Childs Salon in Brentwood, Essex.

Amy insists her trademark vajazzle treatment – which became famous on TOWIE – is so popular women are travelling from all over the UK to get it.

She told the Daily Star newspaper: “Last weekend two ladies flew down from Scotland for a vajazzle. It’s a dream come true to open the salon but an even bigger one to take my look nationwide. I want tractors in Cornwall covered in sparkly vajazzles and the farmers with a spray tan.”

TOWIE star Mark Wright (pictured above)  has been tipped to be this year’s King of the Jungle after the line-up for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here was unveiled.

The 24-year-old is the bookies’ early favourite to win the competition, with William Hill offering odds of 7/2 on him surviving until the end.

McFly bassist Dougie Poynter (pictured above), who will celebrate his 24th birthday Down Under, is second favourite at 9/2.

The boyband star is looking forward to his jungle experience, saying: “I am really into nature and Sir David Attenborough is a god to me.”

It’s all about the boys this year, as camp Corrie star Antony Cotton is the 5/1 third favourite.

Other stars in with a chance of victory are Jessica-Jane Clement (8/1), Freddie Starr (10/1) and Fatima Whitbread (12/1).

Amy Childs reckons boobs will help her win CBB. Gets out her vajazzle kit!

Will Amy Childs' boobs help her win Celebrity Big Brother?

Amy Childs thinks her boobs will help her to win Celebrity Big Brother.

The former Only Way Is Essex star – who is famed for her surgically-enhanced breasts – entered the house last night (18.08.11), and she thinks she has a good chance of being crowned champion because she’s willing to flaunt her curves.

She said: “I’m happy to show off my body. I’m bringing 15 bikinis in the house with me. I am confident with my body, so if it’s sunny outside then I will definitely be wearing a bikini. I’ll be naked, too – but only in the shower. You won’t see that I hope!”

Amy – who quit ‘TOWIE’ so she could take part in the fly-on-the-wall show – is also hoping her boobs will grow when she’s in the house because most contestants put on weight.

She added to the Daily Star newspaper: “I’ll be comparing boobs with the other girls, though mine have shrunk recently as I’ve lost weight. I love my curves so I definitely don’t want to be skinny. I’ve been training and working out but I want to keep my shape and be healthy.”

UPDATE: Amy Childs hasn’t even been in the Celebrity Big Brother house 24 hours and she’s already whipping out her Vajazzle kit! She has even turned her attention to Sally Bercow by offering to give her a vajazzle, but Sally, who is married to the House Of Commons speaker, quickly turned down the offer saying that there would be “no way” that she would get jewelled up downstairs.

Boyzone singer Shane Lynch to join cast of TOWIE

Shane Lynch - set to appear on TOWI

Shane Lynch is to appear in the upcoming third series of The Only Way Is Essex. The Boyzone singer has agreed to be the face of new vodka brand Ver2, which will be launched in Mick and Kirk Norcross’ club, Sugar Hut, when the third season hit screens on ITV2 next month.

However, the star – who is a “big fan” of TOWIE – has vowed not to steal the spotlight from show regulars Mark Wright, Joey Essex and Lydia Bright. He told the Daily Star newspaper: “We are looking to put it into Sugar Hut, as they are interested. I am good friends with Mick, Kirk and the team. We are talking about doing a nice big launch down there.

“I’m looking forward to series three – especially as it looks like I’m going to be on it. I am a big fan of The Only Way Is Essex and so is my wife.

“I went down to Sugar Hut to check the place out and it’s a damn good club. It’s nice to be involved. But I don’t want to step on anyone’s parade by becoming a regular.”

Meanwhile, Amy Childs – who recently announced she was quitting TOWIE to appear on Celebrity Big Brother before seemingly changing her mind again – has been confirmed she is to feature in a one-off catch-up episode of the reality show, which will document the life, loves and drama of the cast since series two ended in May.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: “A lot has happened since the last series ended in May. The gang will film new footage to get fans up to speed. Amy is a big part of TOWIE and bosses don’t want her to be erased.

“It’d be strange if she wasn’t in the catch-up show.”

Sounds unlikely but apparently Wayne and Coleen Rooney could be set to make a cameo appearance in The Only Way Is Essex.  The Manchester United football player his wife – who are said to be huge fans of the reality show – have reportedly been offered a role in the upcoming third series of the ITV2 programme.

It comes after Coleen told sisters Sam and Billie Faiers that ‘TOWIE’ is a firm favourite in the Rooney household, and she would love to visit their fashion boutique, Minnies, in Brentwood.  An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: “The girls were really thrilled to meet Coleen. She told them that she and Wayne love nothing more than cuddling up and watching them on the TV.

“The girls loved the fact that Coleen was very down to earth. And as fellow fashionistas, they gossiped for ages about clothes. Coleen told them she wants to come down to Essex and eye up all the latest designs at Minnies.

“Now the producers have got wind of the Rooney’s being super fans and they want to extend an invie to them to come on the show. It would be quite a coup to have them pop up.”

While Sam and Billie are keen to see Coleen and Wayne appear on The Only Way Is Essex, co-star Lydia Bright recently explained she would love Essex boy Russell Brand and his wife Katy Perry to feature on the show.

She said: “I think it would be quite funny if Russell Brand made a cameo appearance in the show because he’s obviously an Essex boy as well – it would be a right laugh. He’s be absolutely hilarious.

“You never know, he could get Katy Perry involved as well. She’s a really big fan of The Only Way Is Essex. When she did her tour she said on stage, ‘Does anybody watch The Only Way Is Essex? I love it’.”

Amy Childs to quit ‘The Only Way Is Essex’

Amy Childs is planning to quit ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ to launch her own reality show.

The 20-year-old beauty – who shot to fame during the first season of the ITV2 series – is reportedly sick of her castmates stealing the limelight after lothario Mark Wright insisted on making the acceptance speech when the show won a TV BAFTA on Sunday night (22.05.11).

Amy -who was reportedly disgusted by Mark’s “arrogant attitude” – told the Daily Star newspaper: “There is a lot of talk about me getting my own show. Everyone wants me to have my own show.

“They love me. So I am sure it’s going to happen. I could see myself being a presenter.”

The redhead bombshell is said to have been unhappy with the show for some time over fears she is being sidelined in favour of newcomers Joey Essex and Chloe Sims after not getting as much airtime during the second season of ‘TOWIE’.

However, bosses of the ITV2 series are desperate to keep Amy on board.

A source said: “We’ll move heaven and earth to keep her. She’s the woman who put ‘vajazzle’ on the map.

“She has millions of male fans lusting after her.”

Lauren Goodger and Mark Wright come to blows minutes after their BAFTA win

Lauren Goodger and Mark Wright came to blows just minutes after their BAFTA win on Sunday night.

The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ co-stars – who got engaged during the second season of the ITV2 show – reportedly clashed over former womaniser Mark’s plans for a lads’ holiday in Marbella with best mate James ‘Arg’ Argent, with Lauren urging him to “behave himself” on the sunshine break.

An insider explained: “Lauren had a face like thunder and Mark was shrugging his shoulders as if he’d done nothing wrong.

“She’d necked a few drinks so was a bit tired and emotional as they say and kept telling him he had to behave. Mark kept telling her not to be so stupid and that he loved her and all the rest of it. But she’s not convinced as he’s got form.”

However, the 24-year-old beauty was further riled when Mark – who had brief relationships with ‘TOWIE’ co-stars Sam Faiers and Lucy Mecklenburgh during the first series of the show – failed to keep control of his wandering eye.

The onlooker added to The Sun newspaper: “Put it this way, the BAFTA crowd was packed to the rafters with gorgeous women and Mark being Mark couldn’t help but have a look.

“He was also mobbed with women wanting to take his photo – and they weren’t exactly beating a path to Lauren.”

BAFTA TV awards 2011: The winners and red carpet dresses

It was a night of shock, surprise and glam frocks with TV’s elite turning up for the Television BAFTA awards.

The Only way is Essex caused a huge scene picking up the YouTube audience award, however, there was nothing award winning about the cast’s outfits. Amy Childs opted for an over the top gold and lace gypsy wedding style frock, which made her look more mismatched fairy rather than fashionable lady, while her co-stars Lydia Rose Bright and Lauren Goodgear added some Essex bling with their crystal encrusted frocks.

Over on the awards side Martin Freeman and Steve Coogan got rewards for their performances in Sherlock and The Trip, while The Cube also beat the X Factor to scoop the
award for Entertainment programme. The leading actor award went to Daniel Rigby, for Eric And Ernie, while Vicky McClure scooped the leading actress award for This Is England ’86.

Soaps got a look in too with  the single drama award going to The Road to Coronation Street
while Eastenders got Continuing drama.

In the Drama series Sherlock scooped the award while Any Human Heart got the Drama serial. And there was a lovely moment when Sir Trevor McDonald received the Bafta fellowship, the well loved newsreader having a deserved moment in the limelight.

Over in the fashion stakes, leading the black dress crowd was Jessie Wallace who looked elegant in a 50s style frock, while Daisy Lowe also stood out with her crochet  long frock.  Cat Deeley also made an impression with a backless lace detail dress, while Alex Kingston played it simple with a strapless frock, which she accessorised with a turquoise necklace.

Elsewhere Sheridan Smith went for on-trend pink with a pale coloured fishtail frock, while  Gillian Anderson went for a darker hue of this trend for her appearance.

TOWIE stars laugh at Made in Chelsea

The Only Way Is Essex’ star Billie Faiers “couldn’t stop laughing” when she watched ‘Made In Chelsea’.

The blonde beauty was looking forward to watching the E4 reality show as it has been dubbed a “posh” version of ‘TOWIE’ and when she tuned in, she couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

She said: “The set up is very similar to ‘The Only Way Is Essex’, but it’s completely different.

“The characters are so posh, their accents and everything! I couldn’t stop laughing watching it.”

‘Made In Chelsea’ follows the lives of young men and women living in an affluent London borough, but it has been dubbed by some viewers as “banal and boring”.

In ‘TOWIE’, Billie runs a clothing shop, Minnie’s, with her sister Sam and the sisters say their dream customer would be the latest addition to the royal family, Princess Catherine.

Sam told ‘Loose Women’: “Obviously, we’re the complete opposite, we’re Essex girls with an Essex boutique, and she’s like royalty, but we’ve got some nice evening wear that she’d like.”

Billie and Sam weren’t the only ‘TOWIE’ stars to speak out about ‘Made In Chelsea’, as Amy Childs said she was bored by the show.

The beautician wrote on her twitter page: “These people need vajazzles and the ompa lumpa tans ….Turned off o dear. yawn xxxx (sic)”

TOWIE: Mark Wright found it “impossible” to move on from ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ co-star Lauren Goodger

Mark Wright found it “impossible” to move on from ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ co-star Lauren Goodger.

The 24-year-old hunk – who dated the beauty on and off for 10 years before finally popping the question earlier this year – insisted despite his playboy demeanour, he isn’t a bad guy and was just trying to get over Lauren by dating fellow ‘TOWIE’ star Lucy Mecklenburgh during series one of the ITV2 reality show.

He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: “I’m not the person I look like on the show. All of the drama is real but sometimes some of the situations are forced. I tried to move on from Lauren with Lucy but I couldn’t. I just love this girl too much.”

However, Lauren admitted seeing Mark with brunette bombshell Lucy was one of the “hardest” things she has ever had to go through.

She said: “The hardest thing for me was walking into a bar and some girl I didn’t even know was all over Mark. I literally had no idea who Lucy was at that stage.”

Although the pair have since rekindled their relationship, they still have their ups and downs, with Lauren seen pushing Mark into a swimming pool at the end of the ‘TOWIE’ series finale on Wednesday.

She said: “I got the best reaction of the whole two series after the pool incident. I think girls just like to see other girls sticking up for themselves.”

Chloe Sims was abandoned by her mum at the age of just three.

The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star – who, alongside her cousin Joey Essex, shot to fame in the second series of the ITV2 show – admitted after being raised by her dad, she wouldn’t even know her mum if she walked past her in the street.

She said: “I don’t remember my mum. I might have even walked past her in the street and could have brothers and sisters I don’t know about.

“I don’t know if I’d want to track her down though. I don’t really need her as I have a great family.”

The busty brunette – who has six-year-old daughter Madison – also revealed her school life was made hell by cruel bullies, who taunted her for her looks until she eventually won a modelling contest at the age of 15.

Chloe added: “A group of older girls was always threatening to beat me up at school. One boy even tried to set my hair alight. He stood behind me with a lighter but luckily the headmaster caught him just in time.

However, the bullying hasn’t stopped for the 29-year-old beauty, as she explained nothing could have prepared her for the “hurtful comments” she has received since appearing on ‘The Only Way Is Essex’.

She told Reveal magazine: “I was expecting some hurtful comments but nothing could prepared me for what people say on the net.

Amy Childs has been dropped as the face of an at-home vajazzle kit.

The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star – who made the procedure, which involves decorating a woman’s private parts with crystals, well-known during the first series of the ITV1 show – was the hot favourite to bag a lucrative job promoting Vajazzle Me kits.

However, according to the Daily Star newspaper, in a shock twist Amy’s co-star Mark Wright will now be paid £50,000 plus royalties to spearhead the advertising campaign.

Mark said: “I can’t believe how popular vajazzling has become. You won’t be surprised to hear that I love a girl who’s been vajazzled.”

This is the latest blow for 20-year-old Amy, who reportedly already feels she is being sidelined on ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ in favour of newcomers Chloe Simms and Joey Essex.

After appearing on last Sunday’s (17.04.11) episode for a mere three minutes and 50 seconds, the redhead is growing increasingly concerned that she could face the chop from the reality series altogether.

An insider recently revealed: “She had a massive diva moment. This show is everything to her and she is worried at how she is being projected. There’s no doubt Amy’s one of the stars of the show. But as the weeks go by she’s turning into the invisible woman.

“Amy’s aware people are jealous of her success and are trying to run her down.”

TOWIE: Sam Faiers is still upset over the way Mark Wright dumped her

Sam Faiers is upset over the way her relationship with Mark Wright ended.

The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star declared her love for the serial womaniser but he ditched her to propose to his on-off girlfriend of nine years Lauren Goodger and now the pair don’t even speak because Lauren has forbidden it.

Sam said: “It’s a shame that we don’t talk and stuff. It’s the end of an era. We were always talking and texting – it had been that way for years. Now, we don’t talk or text, but I suppose that’s because I’ve moved on with the shop [Minnies] and being single and Mark’s moved on by getting engaged to Lauren.

“It’s just Lauren, I suppose. Us being friends wouldn’t work, would it, with Lauren being there?”

Although Sam has now moved on with Joey Essex, Mark recently claimed she is only with Joey to make him jealous, which Sam furiously denies.

She told new! magazine: “That’s a load of rubbish. Mark’s engaged now and, although I was a bit gutted about it, I’ve said my piece. I’m 20 years of age, Joey’s single, we both enjoy spending time together and we both fancy each other. At the end of the day, what am I going to do, sit around waiting for Mark? It’s not going to happen!”
