Eastenders spoiler alert!Michael Moon develops unhealthy obsession with Ronnie Branning

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

EastEnders’ Michael Moon is to develop an unhealthy obsession with Ronnie Branning.

The slimy entrepreneur – played by Steve John Shepherd – won’t let the fact that he is dating Ronnie’s feisty sister Roxy (Rita Simons) come in the way of his love for the disturbed blonde, and will even be seen rifling through her underwear drawer and watching her sleep.

Attempting to turn is girlfriend into a carbon copy of her sister, Michael will also convince Roxy to start wearing the same person as Ronnie (Samantha Womack), who is currently holed up on police bail after admitted to swapping her dead son James with Kat Moon’s tot Tommy on New Year’s Eve (31.12.10).

However, the creepy situation takes a turn for the worse when the sinister slimeball starts spreading rumours about Ronnie around Albert Square and interfering with Kat and Alfie’s (Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie) relationship.

An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: “Everyone knows Michael has a mean streak but he is set to get a whole lot worse. He’s trying to meddle in as many people’s lives as possible.

“It seems he wants Ronnie all to himself. But what exactly is he up to?”

The sinister scenes are being filmed for the BBC One soap at the moment and will hit screens this summer.

Emmerdale: David Wolfended and Leyla Harding beling together

Wednesday, April 13th, 2011

Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden believes Leyla Harding is the only woman for his character David Metcalfe, despite their past troubles.

Councillor David and farm shop owner Leyla (Roxanne Ghawam-Shahidi) have had their share of problems – including when Leyla cheated on David and he discovered she had a secret son – but Matthew believes as they are still together after everything, the pair are meant for each other.

He told InsideSoap magazine: “I’d say Leyla is the right woman for David but then I think about all the things she’s done to him. People often say to me, ‘I can’t believe he’s still with her.’ David seems to be under the thumb, and Leyla gets away with cheating, stealing and having a secret son. But David has been good enough to put that to one side so because of that I reckon she must be the right girl for him.”

However Leyla and David could be set for trouble as teenager Amy has set her sights on him and Matthew revealed actress Chelsea Halfpenny who plays her has been a breath of fresh air on set.

He said: “I haven’t had to give Chelsea any advice – she’s absolutely fantastic. She should give me some advice. We have a ball on set together and I live working with her. Chris Chittell (Eric Pollard) and Charlie Hardwick (Val Pollard) are really loving having Chelsea around because it’s freshened the whole place up.”
