Stars opt for the black dress at the National Television Awards

Last night’s National Television Award’s red carpet was covered with a sea of black dresses, as stars from the soap and TV world opted for this colour.

Holly Willoughby went for the colour du jour in the shape of a long strapless sparkly number, which showed off her baby bump, while award winner Lacie Turner went for a netted 50s style frock.

Amy Childs bought a touch of Essex to the red carpet with a PVC number, while Emma Bunton went all sophisticated in short lace sleeved frock.

Also in black was Stacey Solomon and ‘Oak’s Jorgie Porter who both went for long frocks for the event. See the red carpet fashion in the gallery below.

I’m a Celebrity 2010: Stacey Solomon is crowned queen of the jungle

It was really no surprise that Stacey Solomon was crowned queen of the I’m a Celebrity jungle. Afterall she was the bookies favourite to win as soon as she stepped into the dreaded place. However, she wasn’t so confident with claims of “oh my gawd” in her Essex twang when she found out she had won.

The 21-year-old then down in tears and hugged former Happy Mondays singer Shaun, who was the runner up she then ran over the bridge to be reunited with her boyfriend Aaron Barnham, son Zach and mum Fiona.

We think the “Dagenham Diva” was a great choice to win. Watch out for her new album, which we imagine will be coming out very soon off the back of this.

I’m a Celebrity 2010: Kayla Collins shows off her assets, Sheryl gets the boot

The Jungle contestants waved goodbye to Sheryl Gascoigne, who became the first celebrity to be booted off “I’m A Celebrity.”

And while she was in good spirits she had a little dig at Gillian McKeith, who she described as “crazy” before claiming that everyone knew her extreme behaviour would be getting her lots of air time on the ITV1 show.

And she’s not wrong there. Gillian’s “fainting”, claims she is pregnant and most recent admittance to hiding herbs in specially made pockets in her knickers, always gives us something to talk about.

And it’s not just Gillian who has got us talking with Kayla Collins fast becoming the bikini babe of the jungle.

Elsewhere Shaun got bitten by a snake and Britt and the crew did a singing challenge.

I’m a Celebrity 2010: Stacey Solomon and Kayla Collins battle it out for bikini jungle babe

It was only a matter of time before Stacey Solomon and Kayla Collins battled it out for “bikini babe of the jungle”. And last night it finally happened. Playmate bunny Kayla obviously thought she was a dead cert in the battle, standing by the waterfall in a pose made popular by Myleene Klass a few years back. However, she wasn’t banking on Stacey Solomon, who took resumed the same pose in a red bikini from La Senza.

Both ladies also attempted the bathing bikini war, Stacey this time in a floral strapless number and Kayla in a swimsuit with splits and tie detailing.

Not much can beat that excitement but in other celebrity news Stacy Solomon attempted her team task in a coach and failed, new contestants Dom Joly and Jenny Eclair joined the jungle.

And Jenny made herself right at home by challenging Linford Christie’s male chauvinism.

I’m a Celebrity 2010: Gillian cries and Stacey bites off more than she can chew

You’d think with Gillian McKeith’s day job of searching through human excrement to determine how healthy we are, that a stint in the jungle would be child’s play.

However, last night she showed this was not the case. Tears and tantrums ensued after a bushtucker trial when she announced: “I have a serious phobia of insects.”

We’re not very impressed considering the show has been going on for a good few years now and is widely known for its antics. However it seems Gillian was quite green about the whole thing, making us look forward to seeing how she’ll react in the next few days.

Elsewhere, reality show queen Stacey Solomon bravely ate a kangaroo’s penis but showed off a little bit too much in the skydiving challenge, while Nigel Havers and Lembit Opik kicked off the first I’m a Celebrity 2010 war. We didn’t expect anything less.
