Paddy Doherty is the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2011, Elstree Studios, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.

Paddy Doherty has won Celebrity Big Brother.  The Big Fat Gypsy Weddings star beat runner-up Kerry Katona and third place Jedward – who had been favourites to win the Channel 5 fly-on-the-wall show – to be crowned champion of the series.

He said: “I want to say thank you to English, Irish, Welsh and Scottish voters. God bless every one of you. I swear to God, I swear on my life, I thought I would be out after one week.

“I never thought I would get this far. I had no game plan, I was just myself. I am me and that’s it.”

However, Paddy admitted he was “surprised” at how well the group accepted him in to their fold, as he felt like a “fish out of water”.

He added to Big Brother host Brian Dowling: “I was in a goldfish bowl, I was with people who have millions. I’m not used to mixing with people like that, I was a fish out of water. It surprised me how well a traveller could fit in, those people are tremendous.”

But the reality TV star confessed although he loved his time in the infamous house, he could have “drowned” Jedward at times.

Paddy joked: “Jedward are a pair of sausages. It was a nightmare living with them, I wanted to pick them up and drown them.”

Meanwhile, emotional runner-up Kerry – who has battled drug addiction, two divorces and bankruptcy in the past – thanked the British public for giving her the chance to right her previous wrongs.

She explained: “In the whole of my celebrity career, I never thought I’d get the chance to put the wrong right. This show has let me do that.

“My eldest daughter is 10 and I want to make her proud of me and do the right thing. A massive thank you to everyone who voted for me, not just for me but for my babies.

“I made some solid friends in there. Paddy and Darryn will be friends for life. Paddy gave me so much advice, and said, ‘Leave your past at the door’. I’ve been through it all, I’ve written the book, I’ve got the t-shirt.”

Big Brother launches with 14 new housemates tomorrow night (09.09.11) at 9.30pm on Channel 5, with the contestants set to be welcomed in to the house by former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson.

She said: “I’m going to give them the ride of their lives. I’m going to leave a skid mark on every one of them.”

Celebrity Big Brother 2011: Kerry Katona enjoys birthday striptease

Paddy, Bobby, Lucien and Darryn performed a striptease for Kerry to celebrate her birthday in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The mother-of-four turned 31 yesterday (07.09.11) and as a treat some of her male housemates decided to do a Full Monty’ routine.

Lucien told Big Brother: “Her spirits need lifting.”

After getting changed into a glamorous outfit, Kerry sat in a single chair in the garden and waited for the boys to come out.

When Amy asked where she should sit, Kerry shouted: “It’s my birthday, back off!”

The men then performed the raunchy routine and after Kerry told them: “I’ll never forget this, ever.”

However, Essex girl Amy was less than impressed, saying: “Is that it?”

Meanwhile, ‘Mr. Paparazzi’ Darryn confessed to his housemates he had once enjoyed a 13-in-a-bed romp with a bevy of famous beauties and models.

He said: “I once shared a bed with 12 girls. Those were crazy days. You would know a few of them.”

However, producers decided to censor the names when he revealed them to his housemates, with a source saying: “It’s to prevent their embarrassment. The producers thought the girls might want to forget that night.”

CBB 2011: Kerry Katona’s agonising decision. Sally Bercow favourite for eviction

CBB 2011: Kerry Katona’s agonising decision. Sally Bercow favourite for eviction

Kerry Katona found it “awful” nominating Celebrity Big Brother housemates Bobby Sabel and Sally Bercow for eviction.

The reality TV star agonised over who she would choose to face exiting the show on Friday (26.08.11), but finally settled on male model Bobby and Sally, who is the wife of the speaker of the House of Commons.

Kerry will also be up for eviction herself after failing a task to convince the other contestants she was the biggest diva in the reality TV house.

When told by Big Brother she would have to pick two housemates to face elimination, Kerry said: “This is so unfair! Oh god. Oh my god. This is awful. This is really horrible. Okay, okay. I can’t do this! I’m going to nominate – Bobby. Because I don’t really know. I’ve tried talking to him, but I don’t really know him and he won’t open up to me. I just can’t talk to him properly yet.

“This is awful, Can I not nominate myself again? I like them all. F**k a duck, I don’t know! I want to go home! I want me mum.”

Kerry had tried to appear the most demanding person in the house by shouting and complaining about not being given any cigarettes, but despite a convincing performance the other housemates picked twins John and Edward Grimes – known as Jedward – as the biggest divas.

Earlier in the day the female housemates had been discussing the men of the house, with Kerry and The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs agreeing Coronation Street actor Lucien Lasviscount has a “good body”, although at 19, Amy feels he is too young for her. Twice married Kerry insisted she didn’t have her eye on anyone and she is “done with men”.

Big Brother viewers will vote to save the housemates they like best, rather than voting off the ones they don’t like on Friday.

Kerry Katona arriving at The Celebrity Big Brother House 2011, Elstree Studios, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.

GOD BLESS CHANNEL 5. Just when you thought that TV would never, ever get good again, they went and bought Big Brother off Channel 4. Now we can watch celebrities showering together again.

It’s an interesting mix of stars for Celebrity Big Brother ’11 (though of course we use the word ‘star’ extremely loosely). The Only Way is Essex star Amy Childs went into the house looking very dolled up in a sparkling corset dress with killer heels, as did everyone’s favourite messed-up actress Tara Reid, who wobbled into the BB house in a very skimpy black silk and lace dress.

Also leaving little to the imagination was the ex Baywatch star Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, who struggled to pull her body-con black and gold dress over her bum as she climbed the stairs to the front door of the BB house. We were pleasantly surprised, however, by politician’s wife Sally Bercow, who looked quite classy and elegant in a royal blue off-the-shoulder number.

We were happy to see our Kerry Katona looking healthy and happy in a dramatic black silk dress with a long train – and we loved her quiff hairdo, which is really on-trend right now. Good luck with your first task, Kezza!

When it came to the men, some of them came good and some of them let us down. The male model Bobby Sabel looked like a French film star in a slouchy navy overcoat and fawn-coloured chinos, while the Corrie actor Lucien Laviscount looked very smart in a salmon-coloured tailored jacket with a crisp shirt and slacks.

The Big Fat Gypsy Wedding star Paddy Doherty, who’s our favourite by far (I like the way he says “womaaaaan”) scrubbed up in a pale blazer with an open shirt and his best jeans. He looked a little bit like the Hoff, actually.

Jedward looked absolutely ridiculous, as usual, in tiger-striped tuxedos (why? Why?). And as for Darryn Lyons, or “Mr Paparazzi” as he likes to be known… well, words fail me. I know that he’d probably made his gold “CELEBRITY IS MONEY” jacket specially for his BB entrance, but I really wish he hadn’t.

Kerry Katona: wants to join Corrie cast

Controversial singer/reality TV star Kerry Katona has been talking about her desire to take up acting and join the cast of Coronation Street.

She told Star magazine that she has her sights set on becoming a thespian and appearing in Corrie would be her ultimate ambition.

She said: “For me, acting is just dead easy. You’re somebody else and you leave your world behind. I’d love to be in Waterloo Road or a psycho in Coronation Street!”

Everyone here at TV Scoop is holding their breath. Honestly.

Kerry Katona hopes new series shows her in good light

Kerry Katona: The Next Chapter

She’s not exactly been a role model for the past few years. But Kerry Katona hopes her new TV show will prove she is a good mum and has put her drug abuse behind her.

The blonde star has been filmed for the last few months for her new reality series Kerry Katona – The Next Chapter, which debuts tomorrow. And she is confident viewers will see a happier and healthier person compared to the woman they saw in her last programme Kerry Coming Clean.

During that series, the 30-year-old star was seen dealing with her split from estranged husband Mark Croft and trying to get her life back on track after stopping taking cocaine.

When asked if she was worried the public thought she was a bad parent when she was using the Class A drug, the mother-of-four said:

“Yeah 110 per cent, but the thing is my kids – even though I did take drugs – didn’t know anything about that, up until a few months ago when I decided to let them watch the TV show… I may have messed my own life up but my kids were completely protected from all that.”

Kerry – who has two daughters Molly, nine, and Lilly-Sue, seven, from her first marriage to Brian McFadden, and daughter Heidi, three, and two-year-old son Max with Mark – insists she cares about people’s opinions and is determined to prove she’s turned her life around.

Speaking at the launch of the series at London’s Soho Hotel today Katona (29/3/11), said:

“I think Dancing On Ice showed the public are definitely behind me. We all make mistakes in life, I’m sure you’ve made them, I’ve made them, everyone’s made them, and this new series is showing me turning my life around.

“If it wasn’t for the public I wouldn’t have the job that I have. I wouldn’t have the support that I have, I wouldn’t be doing the most unbelievable job in the world.

“It is important to be liked by the public, I don’t care if some celebrity says, ‘I’m not arsed what they say.’ I am arsed, I am bothered, I’m a mum and my kids get to read the s**t that people print about me, so it is important to be liked by the public. I am like marmite though – you either love me or you hate me. You can’t win everybody’s affection.”

Kerry Katona – The Next Chapter airs on ITV2 on Wednesday March 30 at 9.00pm.

Kerry Katona is dating a contestant from ‘Take Me Out’.

Monday, March 21st, 2011

Kerry Katona is dating a contestant from ‘Take Me Out’.

The reality TV star – who has kids Molly, nine, Lilly-Sue, seven, Heidi, three, and two-year-old Max from previous relationships – is reportedly smitten with property developer Dan Foden, who appeared Saturday’s episode of the ITV1 show, which was filmed some time ago.

A spokesperson for Kerry – who met 28-year-old Dan in a bar – told the Daily Mail newspaper: “Kerry has known Dan for a while but hasn’t seen him in a long long time.

“Kerry went to a friend’s birthday party and he was one of the people there, they got chatting and seemed to like each other.”

After being married to former Westlife hunk Brian McFadden and more recently Mark Croft, Kerry is said to be thrilled with “gorgeous” Dan.

According to the News of the World newspaper, she reportedly told friends: “I can’t believe I’ve pulled him. He’s dead fit, he’s gorgeous. He’s got plenty of money, and the best part is he has no kids and no ex-wife.”

Kerry – who is currently filming her latest reality TV show ‘Kerry Katona: The Next Chapter’ – is so happy with Dan, she watched his appearance on ‘Take Me Out’, which showed him go on a date with a pretty blonde named Nicole.

A friend added: “She’s totally smitten. She saw the show with him on Saturday.”

Top five most annoying people on TV

Thursday, March 17th, 2011

We’ve all got them. Those TV personalities that make you grit your teeth, grab the pillow and make you switch over. Of course we could be here all day listing the culprits but we’ve done a mini survey around the office and found the top five all annoying tv personalities.
First on the list is the one and only Louis Spence. Yes he was funny on Pineapple Studios, yes we loved his campness, but now he’s everywhere, more exaggerated and much more annoying.
Then comes Katie Price. We don’t really need to say much more here. She’s vulgar, selfish and her TV show is all about her. Likewise Kerry Katona who shot to fame recently thanks to her “habit” has tried to show she’s cleaned up her act appearing on family show Dancing on Ice and of course her own show. Kerry you’re not fooling anyone.

And then there’s Konnie Huq. She took over as presenter of the Xtra Factor but her fluffing of lines, boring tones and all round presenting skills left the spin off more ZZZ Factor.

Finally no one can blame us for adding Stuart Baggs to this list. His field of ponies, constant moaning and broken promises in the Apprentice left us fuming.

Dancing on Ice: Kerry Katona finally leaves the show

Monday, February 21st, 2011

Kerry Katona has finally been booted off Dancing on Ice, after losing to Jeff Brazier in last night’s skate off.

Kezza and her partner Daniel said goodbye to the show after their “saving” dance failed to do anything for the judges. However, it seems Kerry knew her time was limited as she had already booked her holiday, something that was let out of the bag by the judges.

Emma was first to vote, she said: “Kerry go on your holidays, Jeff brilliant, brilliant performance that last one – I’m saving Jeff”.

Jason added: “The ultimate skills test – Jeff, you stepped up, you’re the man, you deserve to stay. Kerry happy holidays”.

However Kerry won’t be rubbing shoulders with the rest of the contestants in the Dancing on Ice tour later this year. Speaking on This Morning she said this was because she was a “mum of four” and didn’t have the time.

In that case I might book tickets.

Dancing on Ice 2011: Dave Vitty boot was a fix claim viewers

Tuesday, February 15th, 2011

Oh dear Kerry Katona is once again causing controversy but this time it’s for her performance on Dancing on Ice.

Following Sunday’s show viewers have kicked up a fuss, claiming that the show was a fix after Kerry remained and Dave Vitty got the boot.

Kerry is a favourite on the TV show, but I’m sure that’s for the publicity she causes rather than her dancing.  Viewers are now complaining after the judges left Kerry in after voting 2-1 to get rid of Dave.

The vote that kept Kerry in the contest came from the usually rude Jason Gardiner – who had previously branded her the pits. She had slammed him as an “a***wipe”.

Last night Jason defended the claims insisting: “That’s laughable.

“I judge on the skate-off and only that. She was better than Dave on the night.”

Oh dear Kerry, causing trouble again?

Dancing on Ice 2011: Dominic Cork gets the (skating) boot

Monday, January 31st, 2011

Dominic Cork became the first celebrity in the history of Dancing On Ice 2011 to be voted off by their fellow contestants.

The twist, which came as no surprise considering it was advertised all week, gave the DOI stars the power to decide  who would leave after a skate-off between two contestants.

That vote was based on a mix of the public vote and the judges’ votes from earlier in the evening.

However, I started filing my nails half way through as the notion of having celebrity come out and explain the reason for their decision, then skate to the person they wanted to save, just dragged on and on.

Dominic went up against TV presenter Jeff Brazier and his skating partner Isabelle, who performed to Jack Johnson’s ‘Better Together.’

Dancing on Ice 2011: Steven Arnold gets the boot

Monday, January 24th, 2011

Steven Arnold became the fifth celebrity to be voted out of Dancing On Ice 2011 last night.

The Corrie star failed to make the cut after being branded a “natural disaster” by the judges and lost out to cricket champion Dominic Cork in the dance offs.

Steven said: “It’s all a blur when you’re out there but I’ve really enjoyed it. I’m not a natural skater but I put my heart and soul into it.”

The star scored just seven points from the judging panel and his performance was likened to that of a drunk at a seaside resort.

Jason said: “You’re a natural disaster. It’s like watching someone who’s had one too many at a tacky awful seaside resort.”

Other dramas of the week include Jennifer Metcalfe who slashed open her leg and needed stitches during practice and Kerry Katona who thought she’s suffered a mishap in the boob department last night.

Dancing on Ice: Vanilla Ice is “amazing” says Nadia Sawalha

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

She may have been booted out on the first episode of Dancing on Ice, but Nadia Sawalha isn’t bitter towards her fellow contestants.

In fact, the former Eastender has nothing but love  for one of them. She claims that Vanilla Ice will soon worm his way into our British hearts when we see how “normal” and “amazing” he is.
The actress told Digital Spy: “People are going to find out that he’s an amazing person.

“He’s been married to the same woman for 15 years, he doesn’t drink, he doesn’t smoke and he’s the most normal guy.”

She added: “If I had to describe him, I’d say he was a ‘thoroughly nice chap’. If people get to see that then he could win through as well.”

What do you think of Vanilla Ice. Is he the chap Nadia has him down for or is it all an act? Leave your comments below and let us know.

Dancing on Ice 2011: Angela Rippon and Nadia Sawalha get voted off

Monday, January 10th, 2011

The first two victims of Dancing on Ice were revealed last night as Angela Rippon and Nadia Sawalha became the first stars to leave the show.

The pair received the lowest number of public votes after taking part in a triple skate-off last night in the first of the two knockout rounds. This year there are only 12 places up for grabs in the contest, which begins properly in two weeks.

Only half the celebs performed their routines this week, with the remainder taking to the ice this coming weekend. Those who were saved this week include Kerry Katona and Jeff Brazier.

Dancing on Ice 2011 contestants revealed

Tuesday, December 21st, 2010

Kerry Katona and Jeff Brazier are some of the “celebs” looking to revamp their careers by appearing in next year’s Dancing on Ice.

They join the line-up for the show, which kicks off in January, and includes the usual mix of ex-soap stars, TV presenters and pop stars all looking for their “next big break.”

However, this year there are a few credible contenders. Most notably Victoria Cross winner Lance Corporal Johnson Beharry.

The show is also adding a new twist with plans to boot out four of the contestants before they get through to the competition stage. Please, gods of TV make sure Kerry gets chucked out. We can’t bear to have her on our TV screens for two seconds, let alone hours and weeks.
