Spoiler Alert: Eastender’s Tanya to embark on affair with ex Max

Monday, May 9th, 2011

‘EastEnders’ Tanya Jessop is set to break her new husband’s heart as she embarks on a torrid affair with her ex.

The beautician – played by Jo Joyner in the BBC One soap – has already kissed former husband Max Branning on her wedding day to Greg Jessop (Stefan Booth) last month but the affair is set to reach new levels soon as she jumps into bed with her ex.

A source told The Sun: “Sparks will fly between Max and Tanya this summer. The shoe’s on the other foot for Tanya because in the past, she’s been a victim of Max’s cheating.”

Tanya and Max’s relationship originally began when he was married to his first wife and Jake Wood – who plays love cheat Max – recently admitted he thinks it could be time for their relationship to come “full circle”.

He said: “Max and Tanya are intertwined. It’s never felt to me like they are going over old ground. Their relationship started as an affair – she was a babysitter and Max was married at the time. If that comes around again it’s full circle for them.”

Spoiler!Masood Ahmed is to declare his love for Jane Beale in ‘EastEnders’.

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

Masood Ahmed is to declare his love for Jane Beale in ‘EastEnders’.

As both character’s marriages slowly disintegrate in the BBC One soap, the restaurant owner finally opens up about his true feelings.

However, while spilling the beans on the matters of his heart, Maood is unaware he and Jane are being watched from afar by his love rival Yusef Khan, the ex-husband of his wife Zainab.

Jane (Laurie Brett) – who is married to Walford wimp Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) – feels the same way about Masood and asks him to run away with her, but is left dejected after he tells her they can never be together despite their feelings.

Nitin Ganatra, who plays the lovelorn husband, said: “Masood almost contemplates it. He just tells Jane that he loves her and thinks she’s gorgeous, but he can’t be with her. It’s very sad and romantic. Masood and Zainab have been married for almost 30 years, but he’s had this special attraction to Jane ever since they first met.”

Meanwhile, Zainab (Nina Wadia) – who is the mother of Masood’s three grown-up children – has been having her own doubts about their marriage after her feelings for Yusef (Ace Bhatti) return when she learns he saved her life in a fire in Pakistan.

Nitin added to Inside Soap magazine: “Masood asks Zainab if she chose the right man and she can’t answer, which adds to his insecurities. It sows seeds of doubt. He can’t help but feel as though he is losing his wife, and that she’s falling back in love with Yusef.

“Masood is very worried that Zainab is going to leave him.”

Spoiler Alert! Jimmy King to chose Kelly Windsor in Emmerdale

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011

‘Emmerdale’s Jimmy King is set to break his wife Nicola’s heart by choosing ex-fiancee Kelly Windsor over her.

Scheming Kelly (Adele Silva) left her former flame Jimmy (Nick Miles) with amnesia after hitting him over the head with a torch in the ITV1 soap last month but the confused businessman will ditch his wife Nicola to stop Kelly and their son Elliot – whose existence he only learned of recently – leaving the village.

Nick said: “Jimmy’s horrified when Kelly tells him she’s leaving. He’s only just discovered that Elliot is his son and doesn’t want to lose him. They’re family so the thought of being parted from the lad scares him.

“Jimmy’s in the church with Ashley and suddenly remembers the day he was due to marry Kelly. He recalls the moment he saw her walking down the aisle and how happy he was. It’s one of his strongest memories so far and that makes him think he’s actually meant to be with Kelly after all.”

However, Nicola – who has a daughter Angelica with Jimmy – is devastated with his decision, even if he is still not acting like himself.

Nick added to Inside Soap magazine: “Jimmy still feels uneasy, because he’s not got as much memory back as he’d hoped. Plus Kelly and Nicola are still at each other’s throats. There’s a set-to between them as Nicola realises Jimmy has made his choice. She’s outraged and upset as you’d expect.”

Hollyoaks spoiler alert! Gaz sleeps with Heidi Constello

Monday, April 11th, 2011

‘Hollyoaks’ Gaz Bennett sneaks off to the hotel where his lover Heidi Costello is staying with her husband for a secret tryst.

The wayward teenager – played by Joel Goonan – learns Carl Costello (Paul Opacic) has been delayed in meeting his wife, so decides to get there before his love rival, much to the welcome astonishment of the former model.

Joel said: “He sees this as a chance to spend time with Heidi away from the village. She’s stunned to see him at first, but also flattered that he’s gone to so much effort to be with her.”

However, the encounter could come to a disastrous end as Carl returns back to the hotel early and rings Heidi (Kim Tiddy) to tell him he’s on his way to the room.

Joel said: “Gaz acts all cocky but if he does get sprung on by Carl, I think he’ll just turn into a little girl.”

Even if the secret lovers don’t get caught out, there could be repercussions in the future after Gaz uses his camera phone to take a picture of himself and Heidi.

Joel told Inside Soap magazine: “He takes a picture of them together on his phone. Gaz wants something to remind him that it’s actually happening, and it isn’t some crazy dream! But it’s probably a stupid thing to do.”

“He’s getting more of a thrill out of it than Heidi, but she has more to lose.”

TV Review: Weeds, Sky One, Sunday 16 September, 11.30pm

weeds-season-two-20070824040029069%20%282%29.jpg

Season two of Weeds came to an end last night in the forgotten corners of Sky One (double-bills at 11.30pm?) and considering I had not watched the debut outing, I found myself besotted with the inhabitants of Agrestic. With a running time of only half an hour, the suburban drugs import is an odd blend of farcical sitcom and thought-provoking drama. Mary Louise Parker is a stand-out as put-upon mum Nancy Botwin, the plot never gets stale or predictable and the jokes are first-rate. Me a fan? Oh – just a little bit.

In last night’s double-bill, many long-standing story-lines came together for what was an incredible cliff-hanger. It was actually quite a layered and complex affair, so where to start? How’s about with the easy stuff. Enjoying their illicit affair, Celia and Doug agreed to leave their partners. Celia came good on her promise and broke the news of her infidelity to an incredulous Dean who questioned “but Doug hates you.” Meeting up again, Celia found that Doug had failed to leave his wife and promptly stubbed a cigarette out on his hand in anger. Desperate to redeem herself, Celia returned to Dean pretending that she had been joking when she had left him, only for the mild mannered hubbie to unceremoniously boot her out of the family home. Celia returned to her motel, where she wallowed in self-pity accompanied by cigarettes and alcohol.

TV Review: House, Five, Thursday 26 July, 9pm

I love my Thursday night TV double whammy of House at 9 and then Grey’s Anatomy at 10. Such yummy medical goodness. But alas and alack, last night’s episode of House was number 19 out of 24, which means an unwanted disruption to my nice scheduling is looming at the end of August – boo hiss. Still, I am determined to enjoy it while I can and last night’s episode of House was another cracker.

I really don’t know how the House team keep it up – every episode (barring that silly one with the rape victim) is of the highest quality and if anything, it just seems to get better and better. Yes, the cases are involving and suspenseful but they’re just the sideshow to the complicated personal lives of the doctors at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. And with Cameron having dumped Chase last week, there seemed to be an unprecedented outbreak of romantic entanglements.

Saffron Burrows to join Boston Legal

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

I really can’t keep up with all the cast changes at the top US shows – it’s like musical chairs with fat cheque books and lots of people watching. I am however, always interested when one such TV newbie is British. Enter Saffron Burrows (the posh one in Deep Blue Sea, the posh one in Circle of Friends, the posh one in Troy – you get the picture), who will be joining Boston Legal as a series regular for season 4 of the legal drama.

Saffron will play Lorraine Weller, described as “sexy and sophisticated” (and undoubtedly posh), she is a litigator who once dated James Spader’s character. I’m sure there will be plenty of unresolved sexual chemistry between the pair. The show is enjoying a high after receiving 6 Emmy nominations, despite ratings for the show having suffered a disappointing slump.
