Oh dear. Top Gear is turning into a little soap opera with since the man who played The Stig outed himself. Apparently, Top Gear bosses at the BBC compared him to a Dalek and a Blue Peter dog. OOF!

The slightly rubbish but ultimately charming Gavin & Stacey bowed out with some schmaltz and everyone thought ‘that’s that then’. However, show creator Ruth Jones has stated that she’s rather keen on the idea of the sitcom coming back on our screens.

The US version of Shameless, which (unfathomably) stars William H Macy, has been bought by Channel 4′s More 4 channel. It’s called Shameless USA and eatures Macy as Frank Gallagher (still unfathomable). Surely the US version of Shameless is My Name Is Earl? No?

Hands up if you really care who Top Gear’s The Stig is? Not many of you I’m guessing. Fact is, the character is much more important than the person who plays him. It’s a bit like finding out Father Christmas is your dad, half cut after coming in from the lash on Christmas Eve.

Ian Wright has been fired from Live From Studio Five, a Five spokeswoman has confirmed. Wait. Don’t cry. BBC News reports that the ex-footballer’s refusal to cover segments on the channel’s talent show Don’t Stop Believing was paramount in the broadcaster’s decision.

Justin Bieber has been approached for another episode of CSI, show bosses have confirmed. Start screaming now tweens. Reports state that Bieber, who stars in the crime drama’s 11th season premiere, has been asked to reprise his role as a “troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brother”.

Sky1 has cancelled plans to bring back a remake of cult sci-fi show Blake’s 7. Again. Sky announced plans for a remake in 2008 (around the time Doctor Who got a revamp and Battlestar Galactica hit big again)… but they put it off and off and now, they just can’t be bothered.

Lets face it – ITV is rubbish isn’t it? If it wasn’t for Simon Cowell, the occasional Champions League match and Corrie, no-one would watch the channel. And so, with ITV making a move to pay-TV with three high-definition channels vanishing behind Sky’s subscription wall, you have to wonder if anyone will tune in at all.
