There’s been an explosion of interest in Twitter of late, yet, I’m still faced with people saying ‘What the bloody hell is Twitter when it’s at home?!‘ Well, if you’re one of those people, Twitter is a thing that enables you to write short messages to everyone you’re following on there. You can message real celebs… and they can refute any lies about them in the press. It’s a very fun and exciting thing (especially if you get a reply from someone famous like Stephen Fry). Twitter is fast becoming the most fashionable thing in online social networking. In fact, with some celebrities, it almost feels like something of a cult, with various people bullying their friends and family into using it. There’s a feeling of ‘We’ll get them Tweeting yet!’ Does this make Twitter the antidote to Scientology? Whatever it is, I’m glad that there’s more and more famous people using it as, for the first time, they’re able to interact with their fans (and of course, there’s a reduced chance of being stalked too). Once again, Twitter has been full to bursting with TV action! Loads of cool TV people are getting in on the act and, for us stalkers fans, it’s great to follow a bunch of TV bods and watch them have really weird conversations with each other. The world has gone Twitter mad. Since a whole host of celebrity accounts got hacked and faked, since Lily Allen got into a Twitter spat (I was going to truncate that into one handy buzz-word, but it would’ve spelled a naughty word) with Perez Hilton and Jonathan Ross asked his Twitter friends to give him a word to include in an award ceremony skit (“salad”), everyone’s been at it. Of course, we’re no different. So who has been saying what this week from the world of telly?
