Simon Cowell: returning to Britain's Got Talent
Simon Cowell is definitely returning to Britain’s Got Talent. The music mogul – who gave up being a full-time judge on the show this year, returning only for the final week of live shows – is coming back to the panel following the departures of David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre after just one series, ITV chief executive Adam Crozier has confirmed.
However, the executive quashed speculation Simon would also return to The X Factor after its ratings slumped behind rival show Strictly Come Dancing this year.
Speaking at a Broadcasting Press Guild lunch yesterday (07.12.11), Adam said: “X Factor is still the most-watched television show when you combine the Saturday and Sunday viewing figures.”
Original judge Amanda Holden is staying with Britain’s Got Talent, while Dannii Minogue and David Walliams are tipped to take on the other seats on the panel.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “When Simon said he wanted to leave along with Piers Morgan, there were fears that Britain’s Got Talent wouldn’t be the same.
“As much as they love Amanda, viewers didn’t take to the newcomers so Simon is coming back with two famous faces.
“Dannii has been a judge on Australia’s Got Talent and X Factor and David will be a giggle.”

Amy Childs is to star in reality TV show, The Bachelorette
Amy Childs is to look for a boyfriend in new reality TV show The Bachelorette. The All About Amy star will have 25 hunks to choose from and she will eliminate the guys who don’t impress her on a weekly basis until only one un/lucky man is left. The Channel Five programme is based on the American show of the same name, and follows on from the success of the most recent series of The Bachelor which saw Gavin Henson pick a girl to be his girlfriend.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Amy has been picked to be the temptress because it’s not going to be hard to find 25 blokes who fancy becoming her boyfriend. Who knows she may even settle down with one of them.”
The former The Only Way Is Essex beauty has been single since separating from Frank Lampard lookalike Joe Hurlock in the summer.
The pair parted ways due to Amy’s busy work schedule and their constant bickering.
Speaking about the break-up, she said: “I’m so busy and at one point I just didn’t see Joe so we didn’t have anything in common. It started going downhill after my 21st birthday.”
Meanwhile, the sexy redhead has opened the Amy Childs Salon in Brentwood, Essex.
Amy insists her trademark vajazzle treatment – which became famous on TOWIE – is so popular women are travelling from all over the UK to get it.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: “Last weekend two ladies flew down from Scotland for a vajazzle. It’s a dream come true to open the salon but an even bigger one to take my look nationwide. I want tractors in Cornwall covered in sparkly vajazzles and the farmers with a spray tan.”

X Factor 2011: Misha B
Contestant Misha B leaves following the X Factor, at Fountain Studios, in Wembley.
Misha B was booted off The X Factor last night (04.12.11) – missing out on a place in this weekend’s final.
The 19-year-old singer looked unsurprised as host Dermot O’Leary announced the result and then paid tribute to her mentor Kelly Rowland.
She said: “I just want to say thank you to everyone here at The X Factor for making my dreams a reality.”
“Kelly is the best mentor in the world.”
Dermot then told her: “You are one of the most creative acts we have ever had in the competition. Thank you so much.”
During Saturday’s (03.12.11) show, Gary Barlow told Misha she didn’t stand a chance of winning after fellow judges Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh called her a “bully” a few weeks ago.
He told her: “I have sat here and witnessed your journey throughout this competition and I can’t help but feel a little bit sad.
“You have been wrongfully accused in the past of being someone that you are not. The really horrible truth behind this is, even if you’re lucky enough to get through tomorrow night, I don’t think you can win this competition because of that and that’s a real shame.”
This weekend’s final will now be contested by Amelia Lily, Marcus Collins and Little Mix – who are the most successful girl band in the ITV1 show’s history.

Gary Barlow is “not particularly enjoying” his role on The X-Factor.
The 40 year old Take That singer – who took over from Simon Cowell as head judge on the ITV1 show earlier this year – admitted he doesn’t feel “in control” of the series and has struggled to get his head around the intensity of the competition.
He said in an interview with Esquire magazine: “I’ve got to get my head around it, learn to enjoy it. It’s so intense. All those people out there watching every move you make and analysing it and talking to their friends about it and tweeting and gossiping.
“I think at this point the reason I’m not particularly enjoying it is I don’t feel I’m in control of it. Maybe I’ll never feel like that. It’s a totally bloody new thing for me.”
Gary’s comments are now sparking rumours that he is set to leave the X Factor at the end of the current season, with insiders claiming his chances of returning next year are “beyond slim”.
With ratings plummeting to a four-year low – and currently being beaten by BBC One rival Strictly Come Dancing’ – show boss Simon Cowell is reportedly keen for at least two of the current judges, also including Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh, to be replaced.
While Tulisa is considered the “most likely” to return, Kelly Rowland could undergo job swap with US X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger, and Simon is also keen for former panellist Cheryl Cole to resume her role on the show.
An insider told the Daily Mail newspaper: “He’s not happy and wants to distance himself from this series, but has no plans for it to carry on like this next year.”

There’s been nothing predictable about this year’s X-Factor with all four remaining acts have at one stage or other having been the bookies favourite to win the show at some time or other. But it’s Tulisa’s girl group Little Mix (pictured right) that are now heading the betting in the penultimate week.
Paddy Power have made the teenage foursome their 11/8 favourites to be crowned this year’s X Factor winners, closely followed by Scouse hair crimper Marcus Collins at 6/4. Amelia Lily is third in the betting at 5/1 followed lastly by Misha B at 10/1.
Despite bowing out of the competition on Sunday night, Irish songstress Janet Devlin still has a bright future ahead of her according to Paddy Power who are quoting just 7/4 that the Tyrone red-head will have a Number 1 single in Ireland next year. It’s also just 10/1 that she’ll perform a duet with the legendary Elton John.
Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power said: “This year’s X Factor is just too close for comfort. Little Mix are the favourites going into the semi final week but we’re seeing money right across the board for all the acts. It’s definitely the most unpredictable series of X Factor we’ve seen yet!”

Janet Devlin: the Irish singer wasn't everyone's cup of tea
Though widely tipped to win the competition, it always looked like Janet Devlin was going to struggle after last night’s terrible live performances on The X Factor.
Claiming she was sick, the Irish warbler managed to forget the lyrics to her ‘guilty pleasure’, Hanson’s Mmm Bopp – a song with only about five words in it. Sure, she picked it up for her second ‘hero’ performance of the night, Red Chilli Peppers’ Under The Bridge but she was still a long way short of her slicker opposition.
But this is Janet Devlin who somehow had managed to avoid being voted in the bottom two since the competition began despite several poor and bland performances in recent weeks. So when she was voted into the bottom two tonight (November 27th, 2011) I did think that maybe she would be lucky once again.
Predictably enough her sing-off was against Misha B who is no stranger to these events, having finished in the bottom two three times. And while Devlin’s choice of a Snow Patrol number was perfect for her strange, ethereal voice – and she performed it well – it was no match for Misha B who looked and sounded every bit like a natural performer during the sing off.
In the end, both Louis and Tulisa’s votes to send Janet home proved to be enough to finish her off after Kelly decided to abstain (in any case Gary Barlow would have voted to send Janet packing too).
So who next to leave the stage? Though I think Marcus and Misha are the best singers and performers in the competition it’s difficult to imagine that Misha can go all the way with the public so divided over her (she still hasn’t got over those stories of bullying in the press). I reckon, then, the final will be Amelia Lily, Marcus and girl group Little Mix and that Marcus will be crowned the overall winner.

Kitty Brucknall: voted off last night's X Factor
She may have left the show, but the controversy around Kitty continues. This time, she has been accused of stealing someone else’s life.
Apparently she tried to take Lorna Bliss’ friends, work and boyfriend as her own, after the pair met when they were both working as Britney Spears impersonators.
Lorna, who appeared in the last series of Britain’s Got Talent, claims Kitty was friendly at first but soon attempted to steal her gigs.
She said: “I was busy preparing for a Britney gig. Kitty begged me to tell her where it was so she could come along. It was a bit weird because she wasn’t my friend.”
From then on, Lorna maintains Kitty started taking her work as a Britney impersonator and became too involved in her personal and professional life, including starting a hate campaign against her.
Lorna told the Daily Star newspaper: “I can’t prove it was her but there were things like, ‘Lorna can’t sing’ and ‘Lorna’s act is rubbish.’ It seemed random.”
Lorna also suspects Kitty stole her Johnny Depp lookalike boyfriend too.
She said: “We’d been going out for a few months when Danny suddenly told me Kitty had been sending him messages via MySpace telling him to dump me. It put a lot of strain on Danny and I. We kept having rows. He started saying horrible things about my work.
“I truly believe Kitty helped stir up trouble and caused the break-up.”
Meanwhile, Kitty’s mentor Louis Walsh has signed on for the next series of The X Factor.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, show boss Simon Cowell has ordered television executives to prepare a lucrative contract, believed to be around £1million.
An X-Factor source confirmed: “Louis is the only judge who has been verbally offered a deal. Despite all the reports that he has been sacked, he is 100 per cent nailed on to be back – if he wants the job.”
The other judges – Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos – are yet to find out if they will return.

Coldplay set to appear on the X-Factor final
Coldplay and Michael Buble have been lined up to appear in the X Factor final in a move that’s sure to get middle-aged Mums up and down the land excited.
While it is not yet known who will be battling it out in the hope of being crowned winner of the ITV1 series, it is thought Irish teen Janet Devlin’s moany voice would be most suited to the Fix You hitmakers and the Canadian crooner could complement Marcus Collins’ style.
An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: “There isn’t anyone left in the show who would suit Coldplay’s music apart from Janet.
“She wowed everyone when she sang ‘Fix You’. It shows how confident everyone is that Janet will make the final.”
Although the third act has not yet been confirmed, if girl band Little Mix reach the two-part final on December 10 and 11 they are keen to sing alongside ‘Price Tag’ hitmaker Jessie J, who helped their mentor Tulisa Contostavlos select her finalists at the Judges’ House stage of the competition.
Jesy Nelson said: “It would be so cool to duet with her in the final if we make it.”
Despite Janet having potentially bagged a slot alongside Coldplay in the X Factor final, she and fellow acts Misha B and Amelia Lily are said to feel “deserted” after mentor Kelly Rowland jetted off to Paris to promote her new single.
An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It’s fair to say the girls – Janet and Amelia Lily in particular – are less than impressed. They feel like they’ve been left to go it alone and want more hands-on attention, especially when they see Tulisa being incredibly present with her group, Little Mix.
“To them, it feels as though Kelly is prioritising her solo career over theirs.”

Russell Grant: voted off Strictly Come Dancing
Russell Grant was given his marching orders from Strictly Come Dancing last night (20.11.11).
The TV astrologer – who lost 10 stone in weight prior to appearing on the BBC One show – and his professional partner Flavia Cacace were voted off the series after landing in the bottom two alongside former ‘Neighbours’ actress Holly Valance and Artem Chingvintsev.
However, the 60-year-old star admitted he owed the competition his “life”.
Speaking after the verdict was announced at London’s Wembley Arena – where a Children In Need special episode was filmed on Saturday night (19.11.11) – Russell said: “Every show I’ve done has been a highlight. It’s been fantastic.
“The public have been great, the audiences have been great. I’ve learnt from the judges, I’ve listened to the judges . but most of all I’ve had the most fantastic partner in Flavia Cacace.’
“‘Strictly’ has saved my life, absolutely. I owe this show so much and I’ve got my life back. I only wish this had happened to me 30 years ago, but there’s a time and a place for everything.”
An emotional Flavia added: “I completely agree with everyone out there who absolutely loves you because you are a true inspiration. It has been an absolute pleasure and joy partnering you.”
The ‘Strictly’ judging panel – Bruno Tonioli, Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood and Alesha Dixon – praised Russell for his hilarious entrance on Saturday night, which saw him fired out of a cannon and earned him a standing ovation from the Wembley audience.
However, Bruno admitted he was lacking in technical ability.
He said: “For total unashamed entertainment, Russell is right there at the top. But technically he is far below some of the others. If he has to go I really will miss him.”

X Factor 2011: Craig Colton is the latest contestant to get voted off
Craig Colton was voted off The X Factor last night (20.11.11).
The 22-year-old hopeful – who landed in the bottom two alongside Amelia Lily – fought back tears as judges Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh took the decision to deadlock after giving the acts two votes apiece.
Following a sing-off which saw Craig perform the Shirelles’ Will You Love Me Tomorrow and Amelia – who only re-entered the ITV1 competition last week in the wake of Frankie Cocozza’s axe – belt out a rendition of Lady Gaga’s You and I, Tulisa and Craig’s mentor Gary voted to save the Liverpool-based singer.
Criticising Amelia’s performance, Gary said: “Amelia I feel like you shouted your way through that, while Craig was understated and gorgeous.
Tulisa added: “I don’t think I’ve ever been so torn before in a sing-off. Based on tonight’s performance, I’ll send home Amelia.”
However, Louis – the only judge left with no acts left in the show – claimed the 17-year-old wannabe was a “ready-made” pop star, sending the decision to deadlock.
He said: “I’ve loved you from day one, Craig, but I think Amelia is a ready-made pop star.”
Kelly – who is mentoring Amelia, as well as Janet Devlin and Misha B- explained: “Craig, I love you. I think you are a beautiful vocalist. I’m saving Amelia.”
After learning he would be leaving the competition, Craig told Dermot he had the time of his life on the show.
He said: “I’ve had the time of my life the last few months. I’ve done myself proud.”

I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here’s Freddie Starr (right) was rushed to hospital yesterday (14.11.11) after eating a dodgy egg.
The 68-year-old comedian – who underwent a quadruple bypass following a heart attack last year – was struck down with suspected food poisoning after consuming a fermented egg during a head-to-head eating competition with The Only Way Is Essex’s Mark Wright.
After being ambulanced to Tweed Heads Hospital in New South Wales, medical experts diagnosed the funnyman with an extreme allergic reaction after he swallowed the revolting egg – as well as a pig’s anus, turkey testicle and a cockroach milkshake – in the gruesome Bushtucker Trial.
An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Mark is fine, which suggests that this isn’t down to anything Freddie ate. Then again, Mark didn’t eat the cockroaches, the turkey balls or the fermented egg.
“The unpredictability of the jungle is what sets this programme apart from other shows. The element of jeopardy is always there. However, the celebs are watched 24 hours a day.”
Freddie easily beat Mark in the trial, who physically balked when he was faced with the testicle and the milkshake, but the pair returned to camp to tell their fellow contestants they would be eating well as a result of their top performance in the challenge.
Mark told Freddie: “You are a lunatic! You would never have stopped.”

Lady Gaga and Kitty during last weekend's X Factor
Lady Gaga prayed for Kitty Brucknell after they met on Sunday night’s (13.11.11) X Factor results show.
The Edge Of Glory hitmaker – who ran on stage to console the sobbing hopeful when she learned she had been eliminated from the ITV1 series – asked the Lord to “help and guide Kitty in her future career”, and even told the eccentric blonde there could be an opportunity for the pair to work together in the future.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Kitty was still emotional so Gaga poured her a glass of wine and asked her to join her in prayer. She stooped on the floor, putting her hands in a prayer position.”
“Gaga went on to say how she’d be on the road a lot next year and thinks there could be an opportunity for them to collaborate.”
After being booted off the family show, Kitty has now vowed her routines will be “sex, sex, sex” and credited the pop megastar with handing her advice on how to “blow everyone away” with her career.
She said: “It’s all sex, sex, sex from now on! You haven’t seen anything yet! I am going to put on the raunchiest, sexiest routines ever. I couldn’t do what I really wanted on ‘The X Factor’ because it’s a family show and there’s also a time limit. Now I can do what I really want.
“I’m going to work my arse off now. I’ve got loads of great ideas. I am going to come back with a great, f**k-off album that will blow everyone away.
“It was a really emotional experience with Gaga. I am so grateful to her. She talked to me about my career and my music. She gave me a big pep talk. And she gave me a lot of great advice about how to break the music industry.”
Following their meeting, Gaga tweeted Kitty, saying: “Go get it!”

Misha B in sing off
Her Jessie J cover impressed the judges more than Kitty's Somewhere over the Rainbow
ALL PICTURES: ITV.com
Kitty Brucknell was voted off The X Factor last night (13.11.11). The controversial hopeful – who landed in the bottom two alongside Misha B – took on head judge Gary Barlow’s advice and stripped everything back with her sing-off performance of ‘Over The Rainbow’ following Saturday night’s Lady Gaga and Queen-themed episode.
However, after failing to connect with the public throughout the competition, only Kitty’s own mentor, Louis Walsh, voted to keep her in the ITV1 show over Misha, who performed a rendition of Jessie J’s ‘Who You Are’.
Tulisa Contostavlos told the pair: “I think you are both amazingly talented, but I would rather buy Misha’s albums.”
Gary added: “Can I just say first? What an amazing sing-off. If you were to ask me two people who wanted this the most, it would be Misha and Kitty.
“Kitty, it’s got to be the likeability factor, because you sing and perform incredibly. Misha, if I took all the acts to a record label, you would be the first to be signed. The act I’m sending home is Kitty.”
However, the blow of leaving the competition was perhaps softened for former Lady Gaga impersonator Kitty after her idol – who performed her new track ‘Marry The Night’ on the results show – rushed on stage for an emotional embrace with the hopeful while she was being interviewed by Olly Murs and Caroline Flack on ‘The Xtra Factor’.
After comforting Kitty – who burst into a rendition of Gaga’s Born This Way when she heard she would be leaving the competition – the 25-year-old pop superstar took her backstage to her dressing room to hand her some career advice.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Gaga couldn’t believe Kitty had been axed and thought she was one of the most talented and exciting acts in the competition.
“She thought that Kitty had been misunderstood and it reminded her of her own struggles to be accepted.”

Could Two Shoes be walking back on to the X Factor stage
Tulisa Contostavlos insists 2 Shoes will bring “the fun factor” back to The X Factor. And I think she’s probably right.
The N-Dubz singer – who mentors the Essex-based duo, made up of Lucy Texeira and Charley Bird – insists if the pair are voted back into the ITV1 show this Saturday (12.11.10) as a replacement for axed Frankie Cocozza, they will fill the void left by former contestant Johnny Robinson.
Tulisa said: “Bring back 2 Shoes! I feel that now Johnny has gone, the fun factor of the show is missing.”
The 23-year-old star insists she “never wanted” to get rid of the pair when she was forced to eliminate one of her acts during the first week of the live shows, but she thinks they could now lift the mood of the whole series following the axe of Frankie earlier this week.
Tulisa added: “The truth is I never wanted to get rid of my girls in the first place, I just unfortunately had to make a decision which meant they left.
“They never got to show off what they can really do and I really think they could bring something different to the show. It needs it right now, considering the mood. I want them to come up and spice things up.
“I’ve messaged the girls on BBM and they replied instantly saying ‘OMG, OMG, totes amaze!’.”

Louis Walsh: Doesn't have high hopes for X Factor victory!
Louis Walsh thinks he’s “definitely not going to win” this year’s X Factor. There’s nothing like feeling positive, eh Louis.
The Irish judge – who only has one act, Kitty Brucknell, left in the competition – admitted the controversial singer is “high maintenance”, and he thinks the final will be made up of Janet Devlin, Marcus Collins and Misha B.
He said: “Kitty is high maintenance. I’m not going to win, I’m definitely not going to win. I think in the final will be a girl called Janet Devlin, Marcus and Misha B.”
Louis – who is the only original judge left on the panel, which also features Tulisa Contostavlos, Kelly Rowland and Gary Barlow – also explained he is unsure whether to return to the ITV1 next year, as everyone takes the show “so seriously” and his ‘X Factor’ commitments are taking over his life.
Speaking to former ‘X Factor’ judge Dannii Minogue in a video interview on MyDaily.co.uk, he added: “It’s series eight Dannii, it’s tough. It’s no fun, there’s no fun. Everyone is taking it so seriously. The other judges all want to win. It takes over your life. It really takes over your life, it’s like a soap opera 24/7.
“At this moment in time it’s 50/50. You only live once and I want my life, I don’t want to be dealing with all these crazy people, and that’s just the judges!”

X Factor 2011: Frankie booted out
Well he was a bit of an arse. Here he is with girls' names tattooed on his bum. Classy
Frankie Cocozza reckons he will regret getting chucked off The X Factor for the rest of his life.
The 18-year-old wannabe rocker – who was sensationally axed from the ITV1 show on Tuesday (08.11.11) after boasting about taking cocaine – admitted while he has tried the illegal drug “six times”, he is not addicted and is simply “an idiot”.
He said: “I’ve never bought cocaine myself but I’ve done it about six times when I’ve been p****d and it has been offered to me. The most I’ve done is four lines in one go. I’m not an addict – I’m an idiot.
“I will regret this for the rest of my life. I was an idiot, it was stupid. It wasn’t very role model-like. I let the fans down and I apologise. I also want to say sorry to my mentor Gary Barlow and all the people on the show. Basically, I screwed up.”
The party-loving lothario – who claims to have bedded 74 women – explained while he’s aware he’s not a “genuine rock star”, he hopes to follow in the footsteps of George Lamb and become a TV presenter off the back of his X Factor experience.
Frankie added in an interview with The Sun newspaper: “I’d like to be like George Lamb – he’s cool. I don’t know if I’d get very far in music. I know I’m not a great singer. There are loads of genuine rock stars and I’m not one of them.
“Yeah, I ruined my chances on X Factor. But I hope I’ll get a career out of it somehow. I don’t want to be back on the dole.”
Meanwhile, axed former contestant Amelia Lily – who, alongside 2 Shoes, Jonjo Kerr and James Michael stands a chance of going back into the competition tomorrow night (12.11.11) – admitted after her close friendship with Frankie while she was in the X Factor house, it feels “bittersweet” to potentially be his replacement.
She said: “Obviously it’s very sad that he’s had to leave the competition. But it’s also very nice that it’s given me an opportunity. You could say it is bittersweet.”

TOWIE star Mark Wright (pictured above) has been tipped to be this year’s King of the Jungle after the line-up for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here was unveiled.
The 24-year-old is the bookies’ early favourite to win the competition, with William Hill offering odds of 7/2 on him surviving until the end.
McFly bassist Dougie Poynter (pictured above), who will celebrate his 24th birthday Down Under, is second favourite at 9/2.
The boyband star is looking forward to his jungle experience, saying: “I am really into nature and Sir David Attenborough is a god to me.”
McFly’s Dougie Poynter is the bookies’ second favourite to win
It’s all about the boys this year, as camp Corrie star Antony Cotton is the 5/1 third favourite.
Other stars in with a chance of victory are Jessica-Jane Clement (8/1), Freddie Starr (10/1) and Fatima Whitbread (12/1).

Fans can vote to put either 2 Shoes, Amelia Lily, Jonjo Kerr or James Michael back in to The X Factor from 4pm today (10.11.11).
With one of the acts – who were rejected from the ITV1 show during the first week of the series – set to re-enter the series for Saturday night’s Queen and Lady Gaga-themed episode, viewers will be given the sole power of deciding who they want to see back in the competition.
However, none of the hopefuls will be given the opportunity to sing again before the British public chooses who will get a second shot at The X Factor.
Lines will close during Saturday’s episode (12.11.11), and all proceeds from the phone votes – thought to be at least 22p per call – will be donated to forces charity Help for Heroes.
The shock twist comes after Frankie Cocozza – formerly mentored by Gary Barlow – was sensationally axed from the competition on Tuesday (08.11.11).
While the changes mean one act will be parachuted back in to the competition even though they haven’t battled out against their fellow contestants for the past five weeks, judge Kelly Rowland – who mentors Amelia – insists the twist replicates the “challenges” the music industry presents.
She said: The music industry is full of different changes and challenges all the time. This is just one thing that has happened that will encourage everyone in the competition to up their game.
“If I was one of them, I would be going in there and trying to blow everybody away. This turns up the energy of the competition and turns up the energy for everybody watching on television. It should bring everybody up a notch.”
Gary Barlow added: “The current contestants have a five-week advantage over these guys, so it’s a big challenge for them.”
The successful act will be eligible for elimination from ‘The X Factor’ on Sunday (13.11.11).

Could 2 Shoes be walking back on to the X Factor stage
In a bizarre but conceivably charity money-making twist, one of the first four acts to leave The X Factor will be voted back into the show on Saturday (12.11.11). Fans will see either James Michael, Amelia Lily, 2 Shoes or Jonjo Kerr rejoin the competition in the wake of Frankie Cocozza’s shock exit.
Frankie, 18, was allegedly axed from the show after boasting about taking cocaine in front of the show’s production staff. To replace him, ITV bosses have opened the competition up for one of the acts to leave – sent home by their own mentors after the first live show, rather than the public vote – to return.
An X Factor spokesperson said: “The four acts have never been in a public vote so, with Frankie leaving the competition, this is an opportunity for the public to decide who comes back to the show.” The act with the most votes will then be announced and appear on Saturday’s show which has a Lady Gaga Vs Queen theme. Personally, it seems a very strange way to carry on. I would have thought it would make more sense to continue with one less contestant or bring back Johnny who was the last one to be voted off.
I think the problem is that some of us have very short memories so I’m not convinced many people will bother to vote, even though the money is now going to Help For Heroes. Apart from 2 Shoes and possibly Amelia Lily, there was – in my opinion – no one really who deserved to go through to the finals in the first place so I think their stay in the competition is likely to be short-lived.

Frankie Cocozza: booted off X Factor
Paddy Power has eased the suffering of beleaguered Frankie Cocozza backers by refunding losing outright bets placed on the 18-year old hell-raiser after he was spectacularly booted off the show earlier today.
In excess of £10,000 has been handed back to over 1,200 Paddy Power customers who, somewhat optimistically, bet on wild child Frankie winning this year’s X- Factor.
Paddy Power said “Frankie punters didn’t get much of a run for their money so we’re only too happy to have a decent excuse to give their money back.”
According to The Sun, Frankie is thought to have infuriated X Factor bosses at the weekend by staying out partying all night.
Frankie’s behaviour is also being probed by TV regulator Ofcom after he yelled “F****** have it!” after getting through on October 23 — swearing before the 9pm watershed.
This afternoon Frankie issued a statement apologising to mentor Gary Barlow and all the fans who voted to keep him in the show.
He admitted things had got “out of control” and confessed to breaking competition rules.
He said: “I’d like to apologise to Gary, my fellow contestants and everyone who has voted for me, but, as of today, I will no longer be in The X Factor.
“My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage has over-stepped the rules of the competition. I no longer deserve my place in the show, so I am therefore leaving.
“I would like to thank everyone who has supported me.”
Liverpudlian hairdresser Marcus Collins remain the bookies 9/4 favourite ahead of silky-voiced Janet Devlin at 3/1 and Craig Colton at 7/2.
