The Brothers Grimes, better known as Jedward
Jedward want to be ‘X Factor’ judges.
The twin singing sensation – who shot to fame on the ITV1 show in 2009 – are keen to sit alongside former mentor Louis Walsh as “a devil and an angel” at the judges’ houses stage of the competition later this year.
Edward explained: “We want to be at the judges’ house with Louis. We want to sit either side of Louis like a devil and an angel.
“We asked him and he said yes, as long as Simon Cowell agrees. We could totally do it.”
With show boss Simon and Cheryl Cole having quit ‘The X Factor’ to concentrate on the US launch of the series and Dannii Minogue having left due to scheduling clashes with ‘Australia’s Got Talent’, Jedward – real names John and Edward Grimes – think the judging panel will be “weird”.
However, they believe it’s good Dannii has quit because her baby son Ethan won’t think she “ditched him” for the show.
Edward added to Star magazine: “It’s so weird because now Louis is the only original judge. But I think it’s cool because Dannii has a baby and you don’t want Ethan to have withdrawal symptoms from her and say, ‘OMG, my mum ditched me for ‘X Factor’.”

Amy Childs is planning to quit ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ to launch her own reality show.
The 20-year-old beauty – who shot to fame during the first season of the ITV2 series – is reportedly sick of her castmates stealing the limelight after lothario Mark Wright insisted on making the acceptance speech when the show won a TV BAFTA on Sunday night (22.05.11).
Amy -who was reportedly disgusted by Mark’s “arrogant attitude” – told the Daily Star newspaper: “There is a lot of talk about me getting my own show. Everyone wants me to have my own show.
“They love me. So I am sure it’s going to happen. I could see myself being a presenter.”
The redhead bombshell is said to have been unhappy with the show for some time over fears she is being sidelined in favour of newcomers Joey Essex and Chloe Sims after not getting as much airtime during the second season of ‘TOWIE’.
However, bosses of the ITV2 series are desperate to keep Amy on board.
A source said: “We’ll move heaven and earth to keep her. She’s the woman who put ‘vajazzle’ on the map.
“She has millions of male fans lusting after her.”

Snoop Dogg is being lined up to star in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The ‘Sweat’ rapper has been approached alongside hip hop radio DJ Tim Westwood as potential housemates for the upcoming celebrity version of the show, which will be broadcast on Channel 5 later this year.
Bosses are said to be keen to sign Snoop as he has led a colourful life, with him jailed for cocaine possession before graduating high school, and then going on to become one of the world’s biggest rap stars.
Writing on twitter yesterday (23.05.11), Tim said: “They asked me to do Ch5 Celebrity Big Brother (sic).
“Snoop said they talkin’ to him. If he goes in – I’m goin’ in! It’ll be the Dawg House (sic)!”
Tim – who is a well respected figure in the hip hop community and a close friend to many rappers – has previously been approached to appear on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ when it was on Channel 4.
ITV bosses are also keen for him to take part on ‘Dancing On Ice’, although he was less enthusiastic about the celebrity skating show.
He said: “Been offered £50,000 to go on ‘Dancing On Ice’ – could you see me wearing sequinned outfits!
“Why is everyone saying I should do it? I’d have to dance on ice with a woman who looks like a man in drag.”

Lauren Goodger and Mark Wright came to blows just minutes after their BAFTA win on Sunday night.
The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ co-stars – who got engaged during the second season of the ITV2 show – reportedly clashed over former womaniser Mark’s plans for a lads’ holiday in Marbella with best mate James ‘Arg’ Argent, with Lauren urging him to “behave himself” on the sunshine break.
An insider explained: “Lauren had a face like thunder and Mark was shrugging his shoulders as if he’d done nothing wrong.
“She’d necked a few drinks so was a bit tired and emotional as they say and kept telling him he had to behave. Mark kept telling her not to be so stupid and that he loved her and all the rest of it. But she’s not convinced as he’s got form.”
However, the 24-year-old beauty was further riled when Mark – who had brief relationships with ‘TOWIE’ co-stars Sam Faiers and Lucy Mecklenburgh during the first series of the show – failed to keep control of his wandering eye.
The onlooker added to The Sun newspaper: “Put it this way, the BAFTA crowd was packed to the rafters with gorgeous women and Mark being Mark couldn’t help but have a look.
“He was also mobbed with women wanting to take his photo – and they weren’t exactly beating a path to Lauren.”

Brian Belo wants Channel 5′s ‘Big Brother’ to be “sexy” and “crazy”.
The former contestant – who won the reality series in 2007 – explained while the UK version of the show is “notorious”, he thinks it needs to step up to the level of other countries and become Britain’s answer to ‘Jersey Shore’.
He said: “I want a sexy house. I want it to be pool parties, I want it to be drunkenness. I want them to have friendships, I want them to have relationships, I want to feel like I know them in and out by the end of it.
“I’ve watched a lot of big brothers. I’ve watched the Swedish one, I’ve watched all the Australian ones. They all get naked in the Swedish one. On the first night someone did something naughty below the belt! Our one has been good – it’s been notorious – but we need to compete with the rest of the world.
“When you watch ‘Jersey Shore’ they’re all going crazy all the time. I want Channel 5′s ‘Big Brother’ to feel like ‘Jersey Shore UK’.”
The 23-year-old star thinks ‘Big Brother’ programme makers need to pick contestants who viewers will “connect” with, rather than “weirdos”.
Brian added to the Daily Star newspaper: “The ordinary person who sees people in ‘Big Brother’ talking about society, that’s what’s relevant to them. That is something they can connect with. It captures the imagination of youth.
“This is what the new ‘Big Brother’ needs to do – tap back into what’s relevant for young people. I think it got to the point where young people felt it wasn’t cool enough any more. They’d put too many weirdos in there.”

Fearne Cotton has called off her engagement to Jesse Jenkins.
The Radio 1 DJ – who first started dating the US skateboarder in 2006 – split from her on-off boyfriend for good last month after getting engaged last September on Fearne’s 29th birthday.
A spokesperson for the 29-year-old star confirmed: “Sadly their relationship came to a mutual end last month. There is ¬no one else involved.”
Despite calling time on the relationship, Fearne – who has dated the likes of ‘US X Factor’ host Steve Jones and The Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard in the past – is said to be “very sad” after coming to realise her romance with Jesse wasn’t working.
A friend of the couple told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “It just wasn’t meant to be. The same problems that were there ¬before were still there and once the ring was on Fearne’s finger she ¬realised it wasn’t ¬going to last. She’s very sad about it but they are going to try to remain friends.”
In the past, Fearne – who is best friends with ‘This Morning’ host and mum-of-two Holly Willoughby – admitted she was hoping to follow in the footsteps of her pal and have a family of her own one day.
She said: “Having a family of my own is really important, more than anything.
“It’s about finding a life partner who’s your best friend. What’s the point of doing great things at work if you don’t have someone to share it with?”

Britain’s Got Talent’ hopeful Paul Gbegbaje was bullied at school for being religious.
The 19-year-old pianist has revealed he turned to music to escape his cruel classmates, who dubbed him “Jesus Freak” because he read the Bible while they looked at Playboy magazine.
He explained: “I was different because of what I believed in. In year eight I would bring my Bible for reading time and they would bring Playboy and stuff like that. They would call me Jesus Freak.
“I didn’t swear, didn’t smoke, didn’t drink, didn’t bunk. They were listening to things in the charts, whereas me, I was listening to piano.”
However, Paul – who wowed panellists Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and guest judge Louis Walsh on Saturday night’s (21.05.11) show – is now glad he ignored the bullies, who have since made contact to congratulate him on his success on the ITV1 series.
He added to The Sun newspaper: “Some of them even emailed me on Facebook saying, ‘Well done’. I feel like I’ve had some form of victory. I had the last laugh.”
“People didn’t understand my passion and they saw it as strange and weird. But now I am so glad I stayed true to myself.”
Meanwhile, new viewing figures have revealed more people tuned in to watch the sixth episode of ‘Britain’s Got Talent than they did in 2010.
While an average of 10 million were glued to their screens watching the talents of the nation on Saturday night, some 9.4 million watched on the same week last year.

It was a night of shock, surprise and glam frocks with TV’s elite turning up for the Television BAFTA awards.
The Only way is Essex caused a huge scene picking up the YouTube audience award, however, there was nothing award winning about the cast’s outfits. Amy Childs opted for an over the top gold and lace gypsy wedding style frock, which made her look more mismatched fairy rather than fashionable lady, while her co-stars Lydia Rose Bright and Lauren Goodgear added some Essex bling with their crystal encrusted frocks.
Over on the awards side Martin Freeman and Steve Coogan got rewards for their performances in Sherlock and The Trip, while The Cube also beat the X Factor to scoop the
award for Entertainment programme. The leading actor award went to Daniel Rigby, for Eric And Ernie, while Vicky McClure scooped the leading actress award for This Is England ’86.
Soaps got a look in too with the single drama award going to The Road to Coronation Street
while Eastenders got Continuing drama.
In the Drama series Sherlock scooped the award while Any Human Heart got the Drama serial. And there was a lovely moment when Sir Trevor McDonald received the Bafta fellowship, the well loved newsreader having a deserved moment in the limelight.
Over in the fashion stakes, leading the black dress crowd was Jessie Wallace who looked elegant in a 50s style frock, while Daisy Lowe also stood out with her crochet long frock. Cat Deeley also made an impression with a backless lace detail dress, while Alex Kingston played it simple with a strapless frock, which she accessorised with a turquoise necklace.
Elsewhere Sheridan Smith went for on-trend pink with a pale coloured fishtail frock, while Gillian Anderson went for a darker hue of this trend for her appearance.
See the gallery below for the red carpet looks.

Jonathan Ross: to host a show with Katy Perry?
Jonathan Ross is planning a TV show with Katy Perry. The 50-year-old presenter – who has children Betty, 19, Harvey, 16, and Honey, 13, with wife Jane Goldman – is, of course, close mates with the pop star’s husband Russell Brand and is currently working on different projects involving the couple.
He told new! magazine: “I’m hoping to see Russell over the summer. We talk a lot and I’ve actually included him as a character in a comic I’ve written.
“I’m hoping to do a TV special with Katy Perry, too, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet. All the girls adore Katy.”
While Jonathan wants to work on a show with Katy, one thing he has ruled out is a programme about movies as he doesn’t want to compete with his Film Programme successor Claudia Winkleman.
He said: “I was offered my own film review show with another channel, but I turned it down, partly because I didn’t want to do the same thing and partly because I thought it would be petty being in competition with Claudia’s show, which I like. I love Claudia and I wouldn’t want to do anything that would undermine what she’s doing.”

Simon Cowell: behind new £1 million roulette show
Simon Cowell wanted to keep Dannii Minogue on as a judge on ‘The X Factor’.
According to PR guru Max Clifford, the music mogul was keen to make sure the Australian pop star – who quit due to scheduling clashes with the auditions on ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ – returned to the show after winning with artist Matt Cardle last year, because he knew how popular she was with the audience.
Speaking on ITV1 show ‘This Morning’, Max said: “He definitely wanted to keep her in because she was very popular and has worked very well.
“But in the last few months, because of the American ‘X Factor’, this ‘X Factor’ has had an awful lot of juggling going on and it’s a question of getting the best possible combination.
“Don’t forget it’s the most popular show on television and the fact that when you’re changing judges it makes front page and national newspapers, gives you some idea of how popular it is.”
However, Max thinks Simon – who has quit the UK show to focus on US ‘X Factor’ with Cheryl Cole, Paula Abdul and L.A. Reid – knows what he is doing, as he has faced criticism in the past for his judging choices.
He said: A lot of critics are saying that the show won’t be as popular and it won’t work but they also said that when Sharon Osbourne went and Cheryl came in. They said that was a ridiculous choice.”

Gleeks who haven’t got access to Sky aren’t going to be too happy with our next piece of news….
We’re really sorry to tell all those fans that Glee’ is set to move to Sky.
The first two series of the US musical TV show have been aired on E4 but Sky has now poached the rights to the third season after a fierce battle between the two networks.
Sky have agreed to pay a reported £12 million for the rights, which works out at nearly £500,000 an episode.
While it is not yet known what will happen in the third series of ‘Glee’ – which stars Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele, Jane Lynch and Dianna Agron – it was recently revealed Matthew will perform one of his own songs in the season two finale.
The actor – who plays teacher Will Schuester in the musical TV show – is set to sing ‘Still Got Tonight’, the single from his debut self-titled album, in the New York-themed episode.
The ballad, which was co-written by former ‘American Idol’ winner Kris Allen, will be played by Matthew alone on an empty theatre stage.
He said: “It was going to be just a big dance piece with me doing this big dance number. But they said, ‘We want you to sing it and make it a big moment.’ “

Sir Trevor McDonald is to receive BAFTA fellowship
Sir Trevor McDonald will be awarded the Academy Fellowship at the TV BAFTAs on Sunday (22.05.11). The 71-year-old presenter will be honoured for his “outstanding and exceptional contribution” and says he’s thrilled at the tribute.
He said: “This is a magnificent surprise. I am honoured and absolutely delighted to join such a distinguished list of previous recipients.”
The Fellowship is the highest accolade bestowed by the Academy on an individual in recognition of their outstanding and exceptional contribution to television. Previous winners have included Richard Curtis, Sir David Jason and Bruce Forsyth.
John Willis, TV Committee Chair, said of Trevor’s inclusion: “No journalist and presenter is better loved and respected by the audience than Sir Trevor McDonald. His authority and humanity has shone through all his work. He is a very worthy recipient of the Fellowship because, for many years, he has been simply the best.”
Trevor, chiefly associated with fronting the News at Ten, recently presented ITV’s Secret Caribbean and Secret Mediterranean programmes. He will soon begin filming a documentary in the US for the channel.
In the early 80s, Trevor was the only British television correspondent to interview Nelson Mandela following his release from prison, and later became the only British journalist to interview former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein.
The Philips British Academy Television Awards will be hosted by Graham Norton from Grosvenor House, London.

Get ready for crazy outfits, camp songs and sobs of “we were robbed”. Add in a drinking game or two for whenever you hear England getting “nil points” and you’ve pretty much set the tone for tomorrow’s Eurovision song contest.
We still miss Terry Wogan, who was famed for his sarcy little comments when certain countries predictably gave others the top marks – most notably Cyprus to Greece and Greece to Cyprus – and that political dig when the UK got nothing, but we’re happy enough to settle for old Graham Norton.
However, what else can we expect from tomorrow’s Eurovision? As much as we’d like to, we can’t ignore the fact that the Grimes twins better known as Jedward, will be singing for Ireland, but what many of you won’t know is that they are due to sing sixth in the Eurovision line-up. This means that if you’re switching on to see them, you’ll have to watch from around 8:30. You’ll also have to set your V or Sky Plus boxes so you don’t miss the good old Britain’s Got Talent on ITV.
Of course we’ll be sending out revamped boyband Blue to fight for our UK corner. The reformed band will join acts from Estonia, Romania, Moldova, Ireland, Bosnia, Denmark, Austria, Ukraine, Slovenia and Sweden all of which will get higher results than us in the televoting part of the show.
Also worth taking notice of is last year’s winner Lena who once again fights for Germany with the song “Taken by a Stranger”. We’ve got our shot glasses ready for everytime we see a bad act, meaning we probably won’t remember anything past Jedward.
Catch the contest tomorrow from 8pm on BBC One.

Channel 4 is to launch a British version of ‘Family Guy’.
The “edgy” cartoon – entitled ‘Happy Families’ – will be made by the same people behind ‘The Simpsons Movie’ and will follow the lives of a typical suburban family living in the UK.
‘Happy Families’ will also feature cameo appearances from a whole host of stars.
Channel 4 creative officer Jay Hunt said: “It will feature cameos from celebrities as you’ve never seen them before.”
Meanwhile, ’10 O’Clock Live’ presenter Charlie Brooker is to star in new series ‘Black Mirror’, which will be a follow-up to zombie drama ‘Dead Set’, and will portray a world where technology has taken over.
Jay explained: “It taps into that unease we all fear about the way computers are changing how we interact.”
This is part of a new wave of changes from the broadcaster, including yesterday’s (11.05.11) announcement that Fern Britton’s chat show ‘Fern’ after just one series.
However, channel executives are currently in the process of discussing new formats for the show – which filled the slot previously taken up by Paul O’Grady’s chat series after he departed the channel for ITV – and are keen to continue working with Fern in the future.

EastEnders’ Ronnie Branning and Kat Moon are to have a furious showdown.
Ronnie – who has been behind bars after swapping her dead baby James with Kat’s tot Tommy on New Year’s Eve (31.12.10) – returns to Albert Square as Tommy’s christening bash is in full swing.
However, as soon as an enraged Kat (Jessie Wallace) finds out she is out of prison on bail, she marches round to confront Ronnie about her heinous crime.
Samantha Womack – who plays the disturbed blonde in the BBC One soap – explained: “Kat needs closure but Ronnie is terrified. She wants to make things right, but other than being behind bars, Ronnie doesn’t know how she can make amends.
“Ronnie tries to keep her composure but Kat is completely cold towards her. As you can imagine, Kat has plenty to say to Ronnie and doesn’t hold back in making sure that Ronnie is totally aware of the hurt she’s caused. By the time Kat walks out of the door, Ronnie is left incredibly shaken by it all.”
After receiving a mouthful from Kat, Ronnie then has to deal with a furious Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) – the biological father of baby Tommy – who warns the fragile former barmaid that her life could be in danger if she stays in Walford.
Samantha added to Inside Soap magazine: “Michael is Tommy’s father and he’s furious Ronnie is back. He lets himself into the flat and gives Ronnie a piece of his mind. She doesn’t want an argument, but Michael tries to scare her off by telling her she’s not safe in Walford.”

“isn’t intimidated” by Lord Alan Sugar.
The 25-year-old accountant – who became the first candidate to be booted off the BBC One show last night (10.05.11) – thinks the multi-millionaire businessman has made a big mistake by firing him because he would have made Lord Sugar “millions”.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: “I don’t think he knew what to make of me – I would have made him millions with my product, so it’s his loss.
“He’s not intimidating at all, I wasn’t scared of Lord Sugar! Facing him in the boardroom wasn’t an intimidating experience.”
After Edward – who was project manager on the losing team in a challenge which saw the 16 candidates given £250 to invest in fresh fruit and vegetables and tasked with bringing Lord Sugar the most money back to the boardroom – was fired, he was called back by the technology mogul.
However, when Lord Sugar offered him a word of advice, the Reading-based businessman shot him a potent glare, which he now claims was “acting” on his part.
Edward added: “That was just all a bit of drama, it was put on really. That’s what they want when they take you on the show though isn’t it? You couldn’t pay for that look I gave him – it was great acting.
“They wanted drama, and that’s what I gave them.”

The Only Way Is Essex’ star Billie Faiers “couldn’t stop laughing” when she watched ‘Made In Chelsea’.
The blonde beauty was looking forward to watching the E4 reality show as it has been dubbed a “posh” version of ‘TOWIE’ and when she tuned in, she couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
She said: “The set up is very similar to ‘The Only Way Is Essex’, but it’s completely different.
“The characters are so posh, their accents and everything! I couldn’t stop laughing watching it.”
‘Made In Chelsea’ follows the lives of young men and women living in an affluent London borough, but it has been dubbed by some viewers as “banal and boring”.
In ‘TOWIE’, Billie runs a clothing shop, Minnie’s, with her sister Sam and the sisters say their dream customer would be the latest addition to the royal family, Princess Catherine.
Sam told ‘Loose Women’: “Obviously, we’re the complete opposite, we’re Essex girls with an Essex boutique, and she’s like royalty, but we’ve got some nice evening wear that she’d like.”
Billie and Sam weren’t the only ‘TOWIE’ stars to speak out about ‘Made In Chelsea’, as Amy Childs said she was bored by the show.
The beautician wrote on her twitter page: “These people need vajazzles and the ompa lumpa tans ….Turned off o dear. yawn xxxx (sic)”

‘Doctor Who’ boss Steven Moffat “hates” fans who spoil plots.
The chief writer of the BBC One sci-fi drama – which stars Matt Smith as the titular Time Lord – vented his anger at viewers who reveal secret plotlines, after one fan attended a press launch and then wrote storyline details on the internet before the current sixth season was aired.
He said: “You can imagine how much I hate them. It’s only fans who do this, or they call themselves fans. I wish they could go and be fans of something else.
“I just hope that guy never watched my show again, because that’s a horrific thing to do.”
The 49-year-old producer admitted he finds it “heartbreaking” when his hard work goes to waste, and likened revealing upcoming plots to acts of “vandalism”
Steven added to BBC Radio 5 Live: “It’s heartbreaking in a way because you’re trying to tell stories, and stories depend on surprise. So to have some twit who came to a press launch, write up a story in the worst, most ham-fisted English you can imagine, and put it on the internet.
“The tragedy is you have to work hard at that now. Stories depend on shocking people. Stories are the moments that you didn’t see coming, that are what live in you and burn in you forever. If you are denied those, it’s vandalism.”

Oh dear, it seems there’s going to be many broken hearts if House’s Hugh Laurie is telling the truth.
According to the actor, there’s bad news ahead with predictions that the show could be over at the end of season eight.
The star who has won many awards for his role as the pain killer addicted medical maverick, told the Radio Times that, “the end of that season [eight], right now, looks like the end of the show.”
Quickly calculating, that means we’ve only got two more series left of the show – the seventh series is about to end in the US.
And if it were to go further it seems that Hugh who is the highest earning TV star with a salary of around £256,000 per episode, may not bag another series telling the Radio Times: “Well, that’s as far as they got me for.”
To lighten the mood, we’ve put together a mini gallery of the star, which we aren’t afraid to admit might be one more for the ladies.
