New drama Thorne: Sleepyhead starts Sunday 10th October on Sky1

If you like The Wire, Wallander and Prime Suspect, be sure to tune in to Thorne: Sleepyhead on Sky1 this Sunday, 10th October. A three-part police drama, the TV series is an adaptation of Mark Billingham’s London-set novel.BAFTA nominee David Morrissey (State Of Play, Red Riding, Nowhere By) stars as Detective Inspector Thorne, in a nail-biting thriller that follows the investigation into a mysterious serial killer.

Having left his first three victims dead, the killer’s fourth victim, Alison Willetts is still alive when discovered by the police. She has survived a stroke, deliberately induced by skillful manipulation of pressure points on the head and neck. She can see, hear and feel, but is unable to move or communicate with the world around her. It is called the Locked-in Syndrome.

Why did the killer leave Alison alive, and how will DI Thorne be able to track him down before he strikes again, when the only person knowing his identity unable to tell anybody?

Morrissey is joined by Natascha McElhone (Californication, The Truman Show), Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes, Happy Go lucky) and Aidan Gillen (Queer As Folk The Wire).
