Likeable but ultimately not very funny comic, Mark Watson, has been given a new programme on ITV4. The show is a sports panel thing and is called Kicks Off. You can probably imagine exactly what the show will be like.

The Bristol City fan and panel show fave will host the new series, which will be filmed in front of a live studio audience and feature guest from the worlds of sport and entertainment.

In what sounds like You Have Been Watching, contestants will be awarded points for unique opinions and passion rather than the correct answer.

Speaking about the project, Watson said:

“I’m delighted to be taking the reins for what promises to be a festival of sport and banter. I can promise the fans I will give 110%, possibly as much as 115 on occasion.

“I’ll be putting a top squad of pundits through their paces, refereeing in a firm but fair manner, and sometimes setting a captain’s example by putting my own skills on the line.”

The programme will air in the autumn.
