It’s a sure sign that summer is nearly over when the X Factor returns and yes, it is now just a mere three days to go until the cult show hits our screens once more. Of course, we all know that our favourite bits of X Factor are the first stages where we get to watch the somewhat hopeless hopefuls have their dreams shattered (remember the chicken factory guy?) but it is also the much anticipated guest judges that help to sustain our interest and mix things up a bit.

Katy Perry is one of the judges on this year’s show and joined fellow judges Cheryl, Simon and Louis in Dublin. However, it isn’t going to be all sweetness and cherry chapsticks when Katy gets her judging hat on as before the auditions began, she stated that she isn’t going hold back in telling the fame hungry contestants if they just don’t make the grade.

So what did Katy make of her fellow judges? Apparently she loves Simon’s sarcastic nature (don’t we all!) and took a particular shine to our Cheryl, saying that she is incredibly sweet, definitely not a push-over and has lovely dimples. As for Louis, Katy simply commented that he was fun and (as always), looking for the next boy band.

The X Factor begins on Saturday August 21st at 7.30pm on ITV1.
