We’re not fans of Justin Lee Collins on TV Scoop. We’re sure he’s a lovely bloke and everything when away from an audience… but get him up against a camera and he’ll immediately gurn and cackle straight through your skull, making you want to die.

Alas, poor ol’ JLC has been deemed not even cool enough for Five.

Yep. Both of his shows – Heads or Tails and Good Times – have been given the chop. Not surprising really when you consider just how tired the chatshow format is and, well, in the case of the former, just how insulting it is to expect humans to sit down and watch someone toss a coin over and over and over again.

It won’t surprise you that both shows have had pretty poor ratings. Heads or Tails failed to attract a million viewers, while Good Times was watched by fewer than half a million, says The Sun.

A source said: “Justin is a top bloke but finding him a hit has been an upward battle for Five.

“Heads or Tails was a reasonable format but it was a bit one-dimensional and viewers didn’t stick with it.

“Good Times just never hit the mark. Let’s face it, chat shows are ten a penny – you need to really stand out. It didn’t play to Justin’s strengths as he looked like he was constantly fretting about the next question.”
