This week, we’ll get to see a show called Scams, Claims and Compensation Games (Channel 4, Thursday, 25 February, 9pm). It will, without question, make you so angry that you’ll kick the cat to death. Producer/director Ashok Prasad’s made a film (which has been talked about highly in TV circles) which opens up the stinking can of aargh on the world personal injury claims.

People making spurious claims are probably the most hated people in Britain right now… however, what about those behind them?

We’ll meet the empty vessel that is Steve who is a no win, no fee lawyer. He likes Star Trek and helping people get compensation for… well… you’ve seen the adverts right?

“If I’m not there to make sure it’s a level playing field, then it’s Daniel in the lion’s den.”

We’ll also meet council investigator Jim, who gathers the evidence to contest claims. He gets the enviable and surreal task of seeing if the turf of a local playing field is culpable after a woman falls over during the mums’ race on sports day.

We’ll also meet the vapid idiocy of the parents suing a school because their son stubbed his toe in the yard.

You will scream yourself hoarse through this baffling and brilliant show.
