Art, art, art, art, art... what the hell is it anyway? Well, School of Saatchi (BBC Two, Monday, 23 November, 9pm) seeks to explore the weird and expensive world of contemporary art through a nationwide search by Charles Saatchi.
He will select one artist to join his next major exhibition and offer them their own studio for three years.
We'll also see a selection panel, consisting of brick faced artist Tracey Emin, critic and broadcaster Matthew Collings, art collector Frank Cohen and Barbican curator Kate Bush (no, not that one), whittling down thousands of applicants to 12 artists they think worthy of being seen by Saatchi.
Effectively, this is The Apprentice, only with less tangible skills.

After watching the first episode all I can say is any Artist
who says doing life drawing is a cliché is a moron!!
considering everything that is man made started off as lines on
paper, makes the "life drawing is a cliché" statement completely
wrong.
Art does not begin and end with conceptual art!!
