From December 1st Sky Movies will launch ‘Sky Movies Christmas Channel‘ with all the great movie content also available in eye-watering high definition on the Sky Movies Christmas Channel HD. You’ll get the chance to vote on which movies you’d like to see on Christmas and Boxing Day.Sky Movies will offer a selection of lucky customers, who have voted, the chance to dedicate a special Christmas Day message before each film is broadcast. Isn’t that sweet?
To vote on which films appear in the schedule, from classics like The Great Escape and The Sound of Music to more contemporary films such as The Dark Knight and Sex & The City, customers need to visit HERE and pick their favourite movie.
The voting starts today and will run until 26th November.
The top twenty films selected in the vote will be played out on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. All those who have voted for the top twenty films will be put into a prize draw and twenty winners will be selected at random to win a prize package of 32″ Samsung HD Ready TV, Sky+HD free for a year and to see their dedication on screen before the film plays out.
Other features of the new Sky Movies Christmas Channel are giving movie fans the chance to watch specially selected Sky Movies Christmas Box Sets every day in December to help cope with the stresses and strains of the yuletide period. Among the many Box Sets available, film fans can enjoy: Back to the Future Box Set (1st December); Best of British Box Set including Italian Job and Quadrophenia (Friday 4th); Indiana Jones Box Set (18th December); Home Alone Box Set (21st December) and the Animation Box Set including Kung Fu Panda and Bee Movie (Tuesday 22nd).
As well as all this, there will also be a selection of Christmas films shown on the channel throughout December including The Muppet Christmas Carol, The Grinch and Fred Claus.
