Looking back at the month of May, it was pretty obvious there wasn’t a huge amount of new stuff, but what there was, was real quality. Channel 4′s excellent Britain’s Lost Children season (culminating in the stunning The Unloved) and the BBC’s poetry season provided ample and hard hitting social documentary and culture.
