Get ready to drop your pants and fumble yourself half to foam Whovians. There's a half-chance that the BBC could be having a Doctor Who orgy for the next... or at least One In The Future... Children In Need telethon. The Daily Mirror has boldly claimed that all ten incarnations of The Doctor would appear together in a 15-minute episode this November. Imagine that eh? Tom Baker's weird staring eyes gently resting on David Tennant's shoulder while Sylvester McCoy nearly gets blown up again! Even as someone who isn't a Doctor Who fan, the premise of every Doc' all crossing paths is very, very exciting. Thinking about the dead actors? Don't you worry... that's been taken into consideration too...

Apparently, the one-off special would see Tennant's Doctor summoning his nine predecessors to help him find a missing piece of Time Lord apparatus. William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee - who are all as dead as Jim Davidson's eyes - would be represented by archive footage and CGI trickery. Very clever.

The report also claimed that the special would mark the first appearance of Matt Smith as the Doctor, although Smith is not due to take over from Tennant in the titular role until early 2010. If you're going to make your Doctor bow, I think this would be the best way to do it surely?

A spokesman for the show told the newspaper: "Nothing has been finalised yet, although there is discussion of a Children in Need Doctor Who special. It is too early to say what."
