Dexter is on the look-out for his next prey, and during a trip to the supermarket with his pregnant girlfriend Rita, he spotted a man talking to Rita’s daughter Astor in a creepy way. His vengeance radar fully switched on, Dexter took his number plate details just in case. Was this just an innocent conversation between a man looking for the Cheerios in a supermarket and a young girl? Of course it wasn’t. Dexter’s animal instincts usually are never wrong.

The fact that Dexter was contemplating another kill was weird after his close escape in last week’s episode. What was even weirder was that Prado was loving Dexter, and the fact that he took out what he thought was his brother’s murderer – they were in this mess together, he surmised, and he was impressed at the way his new chum seemingly took care of a potentially awful situation for him.
But Dex wasn’t comfortable with the whole ‘together’ aspect of their bromance, and he also wasn’t comfy with the fact another body had turned up. This victim was killed in the same way as Teagan (partly skinned) but unfortunately the team assumed she was killed by Freebo. They also assumed this next body was Freebo’s work.
Freebo was also in the forefront of Miguel’s brother’s mind too. A policeman himself, Ramon swore that he would never rest until he found him. Little did he know that Freebo was already dead, but these new developments thrust the dead dealer back into the spotlight. Until that is Dexter engineered things in such a way that Freebo’s pursuit went back on the back burner.
So again Dexter was clever and was able to stay one step ahead of the game. But the problem of Prado remained. He was still determined to be Dexter’s best mate. Best mates with Dexter? Surely no chance. I kept getting this feeling that it won’t be too long before this friendship will be terminated for good, one way or the other.
Other great bits? Dexter and Rita doing a yoga class and Dexter thinking murderous thoughts about the yoga teacher, and Debra, on hearing that her brother was expecting a baby, coming up with another, ahem, killer line: “A baby?! A roly-poly, chubby-cheeked shit machine?” Gotta love her.
