Okay. I’m going to be a sycophantic fanboy for a moment. Allow me this moment… but… IT LOOKS LIKE CHARLIE BROOKER HAS A NEW SHOW IMMINENT! Okay. Calm down. Breathe. Basically, I’m saying all this on the strength of the most flimsy evidence… evidence that may well indeed get Charlie Brooker in trouble. Brooker has Tweeted this: “Worst videogame bosses ever? Email yr suggestions to gameswipe at zeppotron dot com. Make what you will of that email address.” It certainly seems like there’s a new show afoot, obviously looking at videogames. Of course, it may only be in pilot stage at the moment, but I think I should be (a lone) voice in the thicket yelling:A NEW CHARLIE BROOKER SHOW? YES PLEASE TV BOSSES!

So what could this show be like (I’m padding because we’re under instruction to write a certain amount of words for each article, regardless of quality)? Well, having read an article of Brooker’s a while back, about The Most Important Computer Games Ever, I can only assume that this could be great. Hell, he used to write for a computer games magazine (PC Zone… where he got into trouble for his ‘Lara Croft’s Cruelty Zoo skit).

Anyway, in his article, he reminded me of loads of ace computer games, as well as reigniting my internal feud with an old foe of mine… notably, Biff from the Road Rash games. My stars, I hated that prick.

So, with Brooker’s great wit and scathing asides, a look at video games would be really good fun for my money. Computer game reviews are normally the dullest thing in print media, so someone making us laugh while dissecting Grand Theft Auto would be great value for money! And all of this over some dumb Tweet!
