Now that the new candidates in the latest series of The Apprentice have gotten themselves established, I feel as though it may be time to deliver my verdict on who’s hot and who’s, well, not (especially after Majid got the boot last night). Let’s start from the top…
For all our Apprentice news and reviews, go here.
Debra - in all honesty should have gotten the boot in the first week but clearly was saved from the chop as she is a bit outspoken and will clearly have more televisual mileage than poor od Anita. Stayed in the background in week two, which was probably no bad thing, but suspect she may turn in to ‘the one we all love to hate’, thus securing herself a spot on the next series of I’m A Celebrity. Or something.
Ben - he’s not been that interesting so far except when it comes to putting the boot into the other candidates. Time will tell.
Paula - according to the Sunday papers, she was a fat boozer at university as opposed to the slightly foxy career girl we see before us now. Reminds me of Jo Cameron, the outspoken curly haired one from series two. Which is actually quite a scary prospect.
Philip - not sure which is more interesting, the fact that he is a bit of a ladykiller or the fact that it’s impossible to understand a word he says when he gets excited. He might be one of the more interesting characters in the series but that basically means he is doooooooomed.
Mona - ‘Monner’ looked as though she might be one to watch in the first show but was as dull as ditchwater in the second. Not really a good way to do things.
James - seems to have a very high opinion of himself, as evidenced in last week’s boardroom showdown. Can’t wait to see the look on his face when he is inevitably fired.
Maj - seems a bit gormless if we’re being honest. And looked utterly hopeless in a toga.
Lorraine - tackled the car cleaning task with some aplomb even if she doesn’t know how to make a chicken wrap. Could do OK if no more sandwich making challenges are involved.
Kimberley - has she actually done anything of note yet?
Howard - has the most colourful dress sense of the boys but we’re not convinced he is capable of much more other than bleating in the boardroom in a desperate effort to avoid getting fired.
Kate - loudmouth. End of.
Noorul - makes claims of grandeur about his suitability for the job, then keeps quiet for two weeks. Can we see him do something to justify it please?
Yasmina - never ever ever ever ever do I want to eat in one of her restaurants. Especially not if Mediterranean food is on the menu.
