Oh Heroes (BBC Two, Monday, 23 February, 9pm), I’ve missed having your slight pretentiousness and thrills around. While the show has had detractors over the months, this new batch seems to be a ‘return to form’. That means, in essence, stories that won’t confuse dim people and more people getting punched in the face. That’s no bad thing obviously. You sign up for Heroes, you go along for the ride no matter how far-fetched or low-brow it decides to be. So what can we look forward to in Monday’s episode, titled, A Clear and Present Danger?

Okay. Where are we in Heroes world? Well, some bloody great explosion brought down Pinehurst and Primatech, and as such, drew a line under the supposedly ‘difficult’ third series.
Now, our Heroes (and Villains) are putting the past behind them and getting on with their shit. So what does that actually mean? Well, Hiro is putting Ando through some superhero training, after it turned out he could do stuff. Suresh is back to being a humble taxi driver, deciding that being a sexually charged insectoid wasn’t for him. Peter is back to being all super and Parkman and Daphne are trying out the whole ‘being a couple’ thing.
Of course, the real juice lies with the cheerleader. Claire discovers a secret plot to track down and capture those with abilities. Presumably to kill them. Expect furrowed brows and gritted teeth. As ever, it should be brilliant!
