It’s the final episode of The Devil’s Whore tonight (Channel 4, Wednesday 10 December, 9pm) and what a treat this series has been. In tonight’s finale, Joliffe’s relentless pursuit of Angelica comes to a head, as does Sexby’s loathing of Cromwell, who has been turning into a brute ever since he decided Thomas Rainsborough had to be killed. I can’t wait to see how it all pans out, and whether Angelica can finally find some peace. She deserves a quiet life. She really does.
