The Strictly aftermath is in full effect. I read in the News Of The World yesterday that a 'show insider' revealed the show is due for a major overhaul next year, in a bid to compete with The X Factor. Then there's the little matter of Tom's win. Fair play to him because his show dance really was extraordinary, but you have to say that Rachel and Vincent were amazing pretty much all the way through (and would have been my winners), while Lisa and Brendan were exceptional as well. A Yahoo news story (here) brought it all together this morning, saying that Rachel was in floods of tears, and Lisa's father telling the Telegraph that he was fuming at her early exit from the final. Unjust, perhaps, but come on - it was an audience vote so anything could happen. People seem to be hung up with the fact that Tom shouldn't have been in the final at all after last week's voting debacle. But he was, he danced his heart out and the viewers voted for him in greater numbers. End of. It was exactly like the John Sergeant affair. If you want to complain about the public voting to keep someone in or winning, don't vote. Meanwhile, I've stuck a YouTube clip of Tom and Camilla's remarkable show dance after the jump. It's well worth a watch.
