I hadn’t read The Medium Is Not Enough for a while, and as I was having a gander at it this morning (through post-election torpor) I noticed interesting tidbit. Rob had embedded a YouTube clip of a trailer for the next episode of Life On Mars USA. It starred Whoopi Goldberg and looked as though it was to feature a bit of a turf war between the Puerto Rican immigrants and black gangs. This, obviously, sounds like an original script to me, and it looks amazing, I have to say. Some serious afros going on. Want to take a look? Go over the jump.

It was pretty good actually, mostly original though they brought in the black detective who goes on to be Sam’s mentor in the future. There was a twist at the end on that but i can’t remember if it also happened in the UK ep with that detective. It was a flash-forward and seemed to be a way of getting Lisa Bonet’s face in it again. I wondered how they were going to do that where this series is touted as her “comeback” and she’s playing a character in Sam’s current life. Flashbacks, i figured and there are those, but also this bit was sort of a flash forward to something that apparently has happened while he’s in the coma.
