During a chat to a chum over at the Channel 4 press office this morning, she alerted me to the fact that we had been mentioned on Radio 4 stalwart Woman’s Hour this morning. Presenter Jane Garvey was chatting away to Martine Bryant, the creator of The Devil’s Whore, about the show and women’s roles during the English Civil War. A few weeks ago I wrote a First Look after seeing the first episode at the Channel 4 press screening. Now, 42 minutes into Woman’s Hour, my line about being “almost sexually excited” about the show was quoted. Nice. If you’re going to be quoted on Woman’s Hour it might as well be one that makes you out to be a bit of a perv. Nice. To listen to the episode, go here. Remember, 42 minutes in. And I’m not a perv.
