One of the funny things about Strictly Come Dancing is how some of the professionals have actually become more famous than the supposed celebrities. Each year, I look forward to seeing Brendan, Anton, Camilla, Lilia and, oh, yes, Ola (although probably not as much as some people). But my favourite, by far, is Vincent Simone.

Do I need to say anything else? Everyone loves Vincent, surely? He’s just so funny and charming. He doesn’t take himself too seriously, he doesn’t take the show seriously, he’s just delightful.

And he’s Italian, of course. He’s got his raised eyebrow thing going on and his little eyebrow-smoothing move. I laugh every time I see him and I wish he’d won with Louisa Lytton (they were adorable together, no?). Hopefully, this year – with Rachel Stevens – could be his year.

And if you think he’s too cocky and you prefer a more humble type, don’t forget that Flavia Caccace left him for Matt DiAngelo last year. (Apparently, when Flavia told Vincent she’d fallen for Matt, he proposed. God. My heart.)
