It’s been hanging around for a while, and now Little Britain is finally, officially Little Britain USA. I can take or leave it to be honest (in fact, I enjoyed the radio series better than the TV series… is that a bad thing to say?), but it’ll be interesting to see whether the likes of Lou and Andy, Vicki Pollard and all the rest of the catchphrase repeaters will transfer culturally and linguistically to the US. What I do like the look of are Lucas and Walliams’ new characters – some overly-muscly American locker room jocks and an astronaut. It’s on HBO at the end of the month (28 September to be exact) and I wouldn’t put it past the BBC to broadcast the series over here at some point.
