When my son discovered Sesame Tree online, I thought it was a dodgy spoof of classic Sesame Street (of the kind my son often stumbles upon on YouTube, gah).
Well, it kind of is, but it's also official, made as it is by BBC Northern Ireland and featuring clips of vintage Sesame Street.
It features a deliberately wacky bright pink monster whose name I didn't catch, and a hare named Hilda. They live in a tree (a Sesame Tree!). As I'm sure you can imagine, it's no Sesame Street.
It's all very busy and shouty and it kind of reminded me a bit of The Big Breakfast's Zig and Zag, but without the humour.
I found it just about bearable to watch it just for the chance to see Sesame Street (albeit briefly) on the TV again.
Perhaps "modern" children respond to this kind of chaos and sensory assault, but it made me feel anxious. So I watched this to make myself feel better:
