As far as idents go, the latest BBC one for the 2008 Olympics is probably the best I’ve ever seen. This BBC Sport marketing campaign are based on the trad’ Chinese folklore ‘Journey to the West’. The animation and music were specially produced by Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn… and it’s marvelous. The inspiration for the ident is also steeped in TV cool… over the jump to see the ‘original’.
