Star Stories, while not a favourite around these parts, did pretty well for Channel 4, both with audiences, and (may I say amazingly) critically. The star of these particular stories was, for most people, Kevin Bishop and so Channel 4 gave him a chance at writing and starring in his very own show. The pilot – shown as part of the Comedy Showcase season – must have thrown up the right stats and figures, as a full series starts this Friday. As the trailer shows, this sketch show is made up of TV and celebrity parodies, and if you you pop over the cut, you can get a taster of things to come…
WARNING: Contains images of comedy drug abuse based on Morecambe and Wise’s famous breakfast sketch. Really.

this programme looked bad enough from the trailer alone that was shown ad nausea but the first programme was mindblowing, not in a good way. i have forced myself to watch a whole episode of the thin blue line and gimme gimme gimme. how much could i watch of this before getting really cross? 9 minutes. a new personal best! who is kevin sucking off to get this plop put on telly? zizi off of big brother little brother could write a better sketch show in less than an hour without any help. very poor channel 4 -sad smiley-
OMG the Kevin Bishop Show rocks! I can’t believe anyone’d think it was trash its so true it kills me! Kevin is totaly hot as well. I laughed my head off @ his Ross Kemp imression. Anyone who doesn’t like this show must have no sense of humour, and they can go jump.
Terri – I am glad you find this programme funny – but for KB to make a joke of the 9/11 tragedy was just the upmost in ignorance. I have a fantastic sense of humour but 9/11 was not funny in the slightest, and anyone who thought that sketch was funny must be sick and have no soul.
I have to agree wiv Harvey.
Kevin Bishop is a total knob and the least amusing tshow I have EVER seen.
He must be sucking off a lot of people to get to that position, your right!
it was quick funny humour that pulled no punches, why dont I believe anyone who says they have a ‘fantastic sense of humour’.
stop watching tv after 9.00 you losers, maybe then you can stop being offended so easily.
