We’ve recently brought you details of the Life On Mars US remake, which looks good but quite different (that’s fair enough, isn’t it?), and now I read that Kim Cattrall, ahem riding high in Sex And The City at the moment, is to star in another British remake, this time for pay-TV goliath HBO. I also read in the same article that Surburban Shootout (from five) and, get this, Bad Girls is also being developed for the channel. Bad Girls is even being worked on by Alan Ball. Not the famous, late ex-footballer, but the guy who brought us Six Feet Under and American Beauty. Yikes. Anyway, we’re not here to talk about that, we’re to talk about Cattrall.

When she signed up for Sex And The City, part of the deal was for her to be involved with three shows for HBO. If you remember, she fronted Kim Cattrall: Sexual Intelligence immediately after SATC closed its legs doors.

Now she’s to star in Sensitive Skin, which you might remember starred Joanna Lumley over here. It’s basically the story of a middle-aged woman who rediscovers her sexuality.

The British version was based in London, the US version will be based in New York and will see Cattrall play a wife and mother.

Interestingly, it’s being exec-produced by the original production company – Steve Coogan and Henry Normal’s Baby Cow. Baby Cow alsways do excellent stuff, and Cattrall is very good, so hopes are high for this remake.
