With a new Big Brother, so comes a new eyeball. Over the years, there have been loads of variations, with the last one being a splintered multicoloured affair. Was it making some subliminal commentary about the fractured relationships between diverse ethnic groups, weaving itself in with the race row? Probably not. So what it this one saying?

The new Big Brother eye is splintered once more. This is probably to highlight the fragility of the viewers mind after watching a 17th hour of people moaning about half chewed carrots being left on the floor – again. You’ll notice that it’s also red and black. Of course, red is the colour of anger and danger and black is the colour of depression. Again, this will reflect the viewers mood when they’re faced with George Lamb and Zezi Ifore.

The black could also represent the vacuum that is facing Davina McCall as she presents her last ever Big Brother. It could indicate that Davina will go into bizarre rambling monologues when speaking to the house as she wrestles with her own emotions when dealing with the vacuous housemates…

“Big Brother house, this is Davina… please do not swear… and God forbid, don’t do anything interesting either… I mean, you’ve all had one eye on the camera haven’t you? Jeez… if any of you consider having sex just to gain some kind of notoriety then… what’s the point… I might as well talk to myself. The crowd here are baying for someone’s blood and I don’t think they really mind whose it is. I failed with my chat show and this is driving me mad… Big Brother house, the shadows are closing in and you don’t even realise…”.

Anyway, there we have it. Big Brother has got a new logo… prepare for its invasion on our TV screens very soon.
