I do like Gok Wan. He’s ever so good. How To Look Good Naked may well be the same episode every week, but it’s still empowering, inspiration and very watchable. And in Gok Wan it has one of TV’s rare things – flamboyant and cool-as-you-like, but accessable and friendly. Trinny and Susannah should bow down and lick his pointy heels. Gok’s doing the business at the moment in HTLGN, but yesterday I received news of a new show he’ll be doing. This time he’s asking you – that’s YOU – to walk the walk as well as talk the talk.

So. Gok’s Clothes Show (working title) will see our hero travel the country, searching for Britain’s unheralded icons. Gok Man says that style has nothing to do with age, looks, class or anything else - you have it or you don’t. He’ll be visiting offices, coffee bars, high streets, salad bars and bicycle shops looking for hidden gems. He will then put them on his traveling catwalk and, verily, a televisual fashion competition will commence.
