I’m not going to apologise for another Gavin and Stacey-related story this week. The team – James Corden, Ruth Jones and Mathew Horne – have a had a terrific week, and now the G&S news just keeps on coming. To say that they have been everywhere is an understatement, but now news reaches us that James Corden and Mathew Horne (Smithy and Gavin in the award-winning sitcom) have signed on to make a six-part ‘character comedy sketch show’. Oh dear. Another character comedy sketch show, a genre I’m not overly keen on. They’re so hit-and-miss and reek of self-indulgence. But still, if anyone can pull it off Corden can. There’s a neat clip of Gavin and Stacey over the jump, only because I really like it and I love this clip.
