Oh dear, oh dear. Someone's not happy that they didn't win a Bafta this weekend. That's right, big cry babies Sir Alan Sugar and Piers Morgan have thrown their rattles on the supermarket floor and they're gonna wail the place down! Why? All because the nation preferred Gavin and Stacey at this year's BAFTAs.
The Apprentice and Britain's Got Talent were nominated for the Sky+ Audience Award for the Programme of the Year, but lost out to BBC Three comedy Gavin & Stacey. I don't think I'm alone in thinking that, before the awards, it was a two horse race between the shows. However, I was thrilled to bits when the BBC Three comedy scooped the gong.
Speaking after the ceremony, Morgan told The Sun: "I've had Sir Alan on the phone, going 'Gavin and what?' I didn't even know there was a BBC Three!"
What makes this story so brilliant is that, in the build up to the Bafta's, Morgan was crowing and chest beating about how he was going to enjoy beating Sugar to the award. The Amstrad businessmen responded by comparing Morgan to a "monkey" for his performance on Britain's Got Talent. Thankfully, the right programme won and the big 'eads were sent home with nothing. Fantastic!
