Louis Walsh on Lily Allen And Friends

Last night’s Lily Allen And Friends showed us a different side of Lily. A Lily with curled hair, red lips, and a silky, strapless bright blue dress. She looked incredibly lovely, not that she normally doesn’t, but she looked particularly spiffy in this episode. Louis Walsh was the first guest on last night’s program, and I can’t help but hate him.

He’s smug, he’s overly punchy – and not in the entertaining way that Simon Cowell is. While Simon is irritating and punchy, he is always witty about. But when Lily Allen made some joke about Walsh’s lack of successful bands, he defensively threw out some figures on how many number one albums they’ve had, and then added, “Well how many number ones have YOU had?”

While she laughed it off. didn’t back down, and Louis tried to soften up a bit, over all he just seemed overly defensive of boy bands and almost completely lacking a sense of humour. However, he did have a go at beatboxing with Youtube legend Greg Pattillo. (But only after Lily begged him.)

Claudia Winkelman was the show’s third guest, and while I had no clue as to who the hell she was, or what she did, her quick interview with Lily was hilarious. It seems that Lily is finally becoming more comfortable interviewing people, and that she doesn’t feel the need to be a Chat Show Host, but just herself. After watching this show for the past four weeks its been on, I have come to the conclusion that, yes, this is a fantastic chat show. I think most people won’t enjoy this show if they’re not fans of Lily Allen or find her annoying for whatever reason. This show is very much shaped around Lily’s personality, and if you don’t get on with foul mouthed chicks in pretty dresses, this probably isn’t the show for you.

There were other guests on the show that were overly critical of LILY Allen’s skills as a hostess of her talk show, I thought she did pretty well for some one without talk show experience! She will be back again this time with a slightly different format!
