A Boy Called Alex Trailer
Uploaded by Cuttingedge2008

Last week I posted up a trailer from the new series of Cutting Edge, which starts tonight. The trailer showed young, very religious children in the US being preachers. I thought it was the first ep of the series, but I was wrong – tonight’s first episode of the series is about a boy called Alex, a happy young man who loves music. Unfortunately he has Cystic Fibrosis, and the film shows his daily battle with the condition, and his remarkable courage.

There was a boy in the village I grew up in who had Cystic Fibrosis, so I take my hat off to Alex. It’s such a draining and horrible condition, and this film – on tonight at 9pm – is likely to be sad as well as inspirational.

    Alex is a star
It makers me feel so inadequate when faced with so such merit and artistic talent. It’s a lesson for all of us, thank your lucky stars that you don’t face his emotional and physical challenges.
