Firstly, I’d like to say that, if we’re going to keep attracting attention to Never Better (BBC Two, Thursday, 10pm) then I’d like to be able to use a picture that isn’t the one shown. I mean, surely someone at the BBC took more than this? Sort it out… I’m tired of this photo. Anyway, yeah, Never Better is on again and hopefully, the point of this show will become a little clearer in the second episode.

After watching the first, I was reasonably pleased with what I saw, but some TVScoop readers thought it was rubbish… I’m going to give the show another chance. The train-wreck that is Stephen Mangan‘s Keith is struggling (again) with socialising. It’s hard to get going without the crutch of booze… so his pal, Richard, convinces him to send filthy sex messages in an attempt to feel more like the jack the lad he once was. Naturally, he gets it all wrong and our pratfaller ends up sending his obscene message to the one person at AA he is trying to befriend. One to watch through your fingers.
