Here's a first look at the Five advertising campaign to let y'all know that Neighbours is moving after over 20 years on the BBC. Remember... as of February 11th, you'll have to press the number five button to get your soap kicks.
The ad campaign is to roll across national and regional newspapers as well as on the sides of buses and in magazines. There will be three ads, featuring the cast of the show standing next to the famous street sign from the soap, which says "Same Ramsay St, New home". One of the adverts features Harold Bishop with a koala climbing out of a giant tuba and the line "Same Harold, New home". Brilliant! "The campaign is about reassuring viewers of continuity," said Lisa Opie, the managing director of content at Five.
As previously reported, Five will rejig their schedule to make room for Neighbours, with the Australian soap going out at 1.45pm, followed by a repeat at 5.30pm. This basically means that you'll be watching Neighbours at the times you always tuned in at. Smart move.
