ITV’s News At Ten continues to plummet

NewsatTen_-.jpgRemember me telling you about the heavyweight bout between News at Ten and The 10 O’Clock News? Well, things are getting ugly for ITV as their newly relaunched bulletin sank further down the ratings league table. Oh, and I used an old image of the News At Ten merely for ‘oh, I remember that’ sake.

News at Ten crashed and bonged to 2.6 million viewers on its third outing last night… which is a whopping 2.1 million behind its BBC1 rival. The ITV news, with Sir Trev in tow (again), launched with a respectable 3.8 million on Monday before dropping to 3.5 million on Tuesday while its BBC1 rival attracted 4.9 million at the beginning of the week and 4.5 million on Tuesday. Like I said previously, laziness indicates that people will stay on the channel they’re watching, and if ITV continues to show half-baked rubbish, then their news won’t be a serious contender.
