So er.... there were some nice jokes, and um.... a good little crimp about bouncy castles (bouncy bouncy, oh such a good time / bouncy bouncy, shoes all in a line)... the shaman council were in it and er.... my home town Doncaster was mentioned...
OK, OK, I can't hold it in any longer: VINCE AND HOWARD KISSED! Phew, it's good to have got that out. Of course, when the elephant in the room is finally acknowledged, it can often mean that the magic disappears - just look at Niles and Daphne... Admittedly this is slightly different, but have Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt blown it? Has Vince and Howard's relationship been irrevocably altered...?
Er, no. In fact, Barratt and Fielding have been *extremely* clever. The kiss at the end of this episode was, to some extent, no doubt a reaction to the online "slash fiction" that has grown out of the show (though whether it will serve to stop it dead or simply fan the flames isn't really clear). But reacting directly to fans is never a good thing, and so it is a very good thing indeed that this kiss actually *meant* something in the context of the wider show as well.
Howard, we learn, has never been kissed, so when Vince puckers up to convince the Head Shaman he's gay (and therefore couldn't possibly have been the one cavorting with his wife) it's a sweet little moment. Remember when Joey kissed Phoebe to make sure she'd had 'the perfect kiss' before her 30th birthday? It's like that. For a moment, Howard believes that the kiss proves that they're in love ("I'm a massive gayist!" he shouts, elated) but when a pretty girl shows him some attention, he quickly dumps Vince. Howard dumps Vince. Just perfect. After a whole series of quite nasty Howard-bashing, he finally gets one up on Vince - and he's not happy. Well, not until a girl shows him some attention as well.
The status quo has been restored - apart from Howard having a little more confidence, which can only be a good thing. The episode ends with a heart-warming scene on the bouncy castle, and the audience is left with a fuzzy feeling inside. Isn't it great when comedy can do that for you? Sometimes, Barratt and Fielding reveal that their genius goes way beyond surreality, and last night's episode was one of those times.

The Mighty Boosh thinks it is cleverer and funnier than it actually is. Sorry, I'm not a fan.
Many people agree with you, Mark. It either captures your heart or it doesn't, simple as that :)
for god's sake, get a life
I personally loved the kiss and i have never been one for the slash fiction business and such so i dont know why it was so good! =]
As for it affecting anything else, in true Boosh fashion, the next episode wont follow on from it at all, remember the first series where Howard has something wierd on his chest which you never see, since then we have seen his chest and torso and there is no sign of anything that shouldnt be there!
Love Boosh, loved the kiss! =] xxx

You need to see your comeoctor
You DO NOT UNDERSTAND COMEDY
My first dose for you would be to serve a dose of Power of the Crimp, purely in audio liquor, brilliant then follow your Friday appointment with some Man on the Moon and a copy of Doulgas Couplas' jPod, so to be a great cult canadian tv comedy like Corner Gas.
Go See YOUR LOCAL COMEDY DOCTOR AS SOON AS LIGHTINGLY POSSIBLE (Fortunetly your local one may be Steve Coogan, this review cries out that your a East Londerner)
