I'm generally not in favour of remakes, but if DS can be believed, the UK is about to be treated to a 21st century makeover of 1960s classic Bewitched, courtesy of the BBC. This is one old sitcom that could really work well with modern sfx and storylines.

Dick York and Elizabeth Montgomery brought a wonderful feel-good factor to the original and as long as any "modernisation" retains that ethos this should be a sure-fire ratings winner for the Beeb, which has not had a pretty shaky track record with new comedies in recent years (Jam & Jerusalem, anyone?).
