What on earth am I going to do now that The Restaurant has finished? Well, in its slot is the curious looking Ray Mears and Ewan McGregor: Extreme Jungle (BBC Two, Wednesday, 8pm). When Ewan isn't acting, it seems like he's intent on becoming some kind of real life Indian Jones, what with his penchant for haring around on a motorbike in dreadful and inhospitable places. Now the deepest and darkest jungle?

It's obvious that survival expert Ray Mears needs someone who is a bit more lively than that old bloke he's been knocking about with lately, so maybe Ewan is the perfect tonic? This unlikely pairing find themselves in the Honduran Jungle in search of a lost civilisation. Aim high eh lads? I imagine Ewan will provide the magnetism required for a TV show, whilst Ray will keep our 'talent' alive by feeding him berries, grubs and bits of bracken. This could be the dullest thing ever shown on TV... but it could also be thrilling and engrossing. We'll just have to see...
