Heroes audience falls on second outing

Heroes_Hiro.jpgWithout the inherited audience from a Top Gear special to boost its figures, Heroes didn’t do so well for BBC Two this week, losing 900,000 viewers over its debut double-hander opener according to this report from MG. I don’t suppose BBC Two execs will be crying into their cornflakes just yet though – an average of 3.2 million viewers was still enough to trounce BBC One’s repeat of long-running crime drama Waking the Dead which only managed 2.4 million viewers.

Inexplicably neither of these were enough to beat ITV1′s Wire in the Blood (4.9 million viewers – what are you thinking??) or Channel 4′s Big Brother (3.6 million – we already knew you don’t think). I don’t know which is more bizarre – that almost a million people watched Heroes last week simply because they couldn’t be bothered to press a different button on their remote, or that the same number watched it and didn’t get hooked!

  1. Well I loved it! Nothing British is even *half* as good… I did record it though – bit late for me! ;)
