Ugly Betty star Rebecca Romijn got hitched at the weekend to fellow actor Jerry O’Connell in what has been described by PEOPLE magazine as an “intimate” ceremony in LA. Romijn, who was previously married to ER’s John Stamos wore a Ralph Lauren gown with bling courtesy of Neil Lane. The couple, who have been engaged since December 2005, even included their dogs, Taco and Better in the festivities with the pooches decked out in black bow ties (I shit you not.) Romijn is currently starring as Alexis Meade in the hit fashion sitcom, with O’Connell having guest starred in an episode as a man who rejected her.

In other ‘Ugly Betty’ news, the much discussed new role of Gio has been cast according to the Hollywood Reporter. Gio, the sandwich cart guy, rumoured to be a new love interest for leading lady Betty Suarez will be played by Six Feet Under star Freddy Rodriguez. Rodriguez has recently been seen in box-office flop Poseidon and Fergie’s naff ‘Glamorous’ music video, I guess making sandwiches doesn’t sound too bad after that.
