The C word. How on earth do I broach a subject like this? It's a word that brings out real disgust in people like no other. I know this because I love to use the C word. I really love it. For you, I'm not going to use the word... I care for you. Instead, I'll refer you to the pictorial dingbat...

So why am I talking about it? Well, The C Word: How We Came to Swear By It (BBC3, Monday, 10.30pm) sees Brit' comic Will Smith (no, not that one you idiot!) goes on a journey to discover what his fellow countrymen make of this crude cuss. Naturally, this takes him to uncompromising comedians, feminists who have reclaimed the word, linguists and just about anybody who uses the word. To be honest, I'll be interested to see why so many are horrified at a mere word. Looking at the literal meaning, it's only as offensive as someone calling you a fanny... isn't it? [Mof Gimmers]
