As you might have spotted, at least three of us Scoopers are Heroes mad, and those who haven’t been bitten by the bug are living on borrowed time. This microcosm of humanity is about to expand to fill the UK as Heroes comes to BBC Two on July 25 (yes, the trailers have finally begun including the date of first transmission) for those of you who haven’t already caught it via the net, or on Sci-Fi channel – and for a fair percentage of those I’m guessing they will be relieving their withdrawal symptoms by watching the whole thing again.

I was planning to bring you a resumé of each character, but (a) this has already been done by the producers and (often better) by fan sites and (b) it’s quite hard to give you any real information without spoiling some of the early mystery and revelation. So I’ll leave it to them. All I will say is I love it; if you’re a science fiction fan or even just a fan of really good drama, you will love it too; and it starts in 11 days! Woot!
