Season three of the Housewives has only just finished on Channel 4 and already tongues are wagging on what we can expect in our next dose of the domestic divas. SPOILER ALERTS: Nicollette Sheridan will continue as Edie Britt, despite fans fears that she had topped herself, while the big news concerns a new rival for Bree, housewife Katherine. Katherine, a former neighbour returns to takes up residence in the Lane after an absence of some years (a mystery there to be uncovered to be sure), with a handsome doctor husband (Bree’s is only a dentist) and naughty teenage daughter (she’ll have to go some to match the slutty antics of Bree’s pregnant daughter Danielle.)
In other Housewives news, veteran actress Joan Collins is herself desperate to nab a part on the popular show. The 74 year old had previously been considered for the part of Teri Hatcher’s mother, though lost out to Lesley Ann Warren. She is now going public with her love of the programme in a bid to convince producers of her suitability, and is prepared to endure a little nip/tuck if it would better her chances on the casting couch. She says, "Desperate Housewives is one of the best things ever to hit television. I'd jump at a television series. And, if the lighting cameraman said to me, 'Joan, I've tried everything, I simply can't make you look good anymore,' maybe that's the time I'd consider a little cosmetic help." I think you look great Joan and don’t change to star alongside Botox queen Teri Hatcher – you look the younger of the two.
